Guess we will have to get used to inconvenient start times, especially for long distance away games. Thank you Sky.

And may not be that good even next season, given Norwich appeared on Sky 15 times last season.

Sunderland at 5pm on a Sunday is not an inconvenient start time.

An inconvenient arrival home though, certainly.

Perfect for town though.

Longest journey. Had it been midweek or a sat midday kickoff that would haven't been the best for the team.

But a Sunday kickoff means we can travel early. Probably train somewhere local on the Friday. Prepare sat then have the game. With plenty of time to get back for the hime game a week later.

Imo.. Best day and time to get Sunderland away

Last time we played Sunderland away in the opening game, we were relegated, right?

December looks brutal, could be a make or break month before we get to strengthen in Jan.

Apparently 5 of the 6 new teams to the championship are on TV. Guess which one isn't!

On the plus side, it looks as if we're making the finals of the FA and Carabao Cups this season

That's what I thought too. I always thought Boxing Day was supposed to be a relatively close team? Unless it's coincidence I seem to remember usually having a London based team for boxing day in ye'olde days

Relatively small price to pay for finally seeing big game after big game on the fixture list.

No real offence to League One (it’s the third tier after all) but it’s got far more interesting.

We have played Leicester a few times over the years on Boxing Day so must fall under the EFL relatively close category.

Not sure why the EFL have fixtures on Friday 29th December as 3pm kick offs.

They came to PR in 1990, I think it was. Crowd was probably in the 12-14,000 region, and included me and my dad. Can't recall how many Boro fans were there, but they won 1-0 so would have had a nice journey home anyhow.

Edit: Looked it up now - the gate was 12,508.
