Do you have examples of prosecution? When some Colchester fans sang about Justin Edinburgh at Orient last season, I thought the conclusion ultimately was that though the behaviour is disgusting it's not actually illegal.

Actually, I checked and there was a case of three Pboro fans who got prosecuted for singing about Simon Dobbin at their match v Cambridge. It was prosecuted as a Section 5 public order offence. I obviously can't comment on this, and generally take posters at face value.
I might add that I think you are someone who comes in for a lot of unjustified stick, in no small measure because of the reason you hinted at in a post on the Clive Baker thread.
