We have had over 29,000 at games where away support was on the low side. Seats went on sale late to home fans. |  |

I've been going since 1975 and there is a bigger buzz now then ever around the Club and we haven't even won anything. But as many clubs find, if you have a few years of dross, when you start winning games it is much much sweeter.
Sky said the capacity was just under 30K for the stadium, so the 29700 is probably correct.
The biggest thing for me is the number of young fans at matches. I think in the previous 10 years we were becoming one of the oldest fan base in the Country and now there is Junior Blues all over the place. My son was wandering around County Clare in his Ipswich shirt yesterday. | | | |

It's reduced a bit because they have removed seats from around the dug out areas and the small fill in area where the scoreboard is
I don't know if that accounts for all of it?
Norwich on the other hand through the years have actually increased capacity by packing more seats into to various areas, possibly even removing some exit areas I believe |  |

Correct, I believe Plymouth only brought about 900ish but the remaining seats were opened to home fans.

I was thinking this last night about the younger fans - loads of families in the fanzone last night; more than I remember seeing previously. Glad that my boys are finally seeing something worth watching. The last 18 months has erased much of the memories of dross they had watched for the previous 10 years, and I no longer have to keep apologising to them. | | | |
