Appallingly weak and lethargic. Not sure his head was in it. Is he marking time and / or sulking or just not match ready?

Interesting that people want to call out a sub who has barely played rather than look at the performance of some of our regulars. He wasn’t the reason we got ourselves into a hole last night.

I haven't said anything about Tuanzebe yet - but I don't think that's true. From what I can see on here people are calling out Tuanzebe in addition to our regulars - it was a shocker of a second half really all round.

But, winning is all that matters in the business end of the season - we'll need to do better against Birmingham.

The Thread is about Tuanzabee. I wasn’t commenting on the you specifically just the thread.

Apologies if it’s come across otherwise

Every player you could argue had an off night and that impacted the entire squad, even the subs. Yes Hutch scored the winner but he also made bad decisions when he had the ball. It was one of the games where everyone was affected by something, not sure what that something was.

The regulars have perhaps bought themselves some time considering their performances across the season. Tuanzebe hasn't taken his chances when given them, though right back was a thankless task for him yesterday, considering how everyone else was playing.

I would suggest most of the team were pretty knackered after 3 games in 7 days.

That excuse doesn't apply to Tuanzebe, who was simply awful.

One bad sub appearance doesn't write him off but I'm sure his lethargic performance wouldn't have gone unnoticed by McKenna.

I think that’s a far more measured way of looking at it.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that he played well when he came on, but I’m staggered that people are piling into him. I’ve even seen someone suggest Jackson would be a better option at RB! Remind me who gave away the penalty last night!

Find it insane that KM and MA have played this one as they have if I’m honest.
Or have they been fully BSed by BW and his team?!

I’m not saying I know any details, but seems incredible that we are on like day 20 of ‘ten days until he’s back here’

So, did BW and his team BS us?
Has he got another illness?

Was generally asking more than stating anything

Whole thing is a joke IMO, should have ditched him and got in the cover we really needed.

Yeah it's not great but completely out of the left field you'd expect. Had we known we definitely wouldn't have signed up.

Keep the faith, he's coming back and will help us finish top two. He's definitely featuring at carrot road.

I wonder if we had no choice but to keep hold of him, unless he picked up a season ending injury. Whether there was a no recall/send back clause written in the contract.

If there wasn't then have to say it seems to have been a massive misstep not to terminate the loan and get someone else in. But, going by our focus on Johnson during January, it seems we would have been looking to sign a left sided defender rather than right given the chance.

There's a lot of guessing going on though. We're a very well run club and wouldn't do something that doesn't benefit us. Whatever's happened has definitely been a surprise to us and we're doing the best we can.

I also don't think Kmac would say he'll be back if he knew he wouldn't' be. Might be longer than the ten days he said but he'll be back.

Keep the faith, give the management some credit and we'll all know more as it happens.

He'll score the winning goal at naaridge and all will be forgotten.

I've no idea how you could single Tuanzebe out over others to be honest. He wasn't convincing but there were very few that were. Luongo was really poor when he came on.

Tuanzebe needs to play and get in a rhythm. Difficult for him at the moment and he's not really a RB.

The poor sod isn't being given a chance. Not sure he's expected yo get up and running on the extremely rare occasions he gets a few minutes on the park. Of course, he's rusty, off the pace, and making rushed decisions.

Yes, it's a bit Catch 22 with him, I think, given his long time out and varied injuries. You can absolutely see he's got PL ability, physicality and speed in little patches of the games he's played, but for whatever reason (body confidence, rustiness, whatever) he hasn't been able to string a full performance together, yet. An absolute prime candidate for an extended run in a reserve side in a competitive league, if such a thing existed for us, and if he'd buy into it.

Sorry, but 100% he's expected to be up to it if he gets on the pitch.

He wasn't the only one though. Whole defence and midfield was pretty timid.

They'll do better next time and so will he.

That’s it, isn’t it. He came in out of position in a team that was dying on its arse. It was hardly the finest hour for anyone.

He’s handy to have around. He’s obviously behind Woolf for me though, but is useful when we need to rest Woolf. I’m not sure if the rumours of him wanting out because he thought he should be getting more starts are true. If so, he’s in cloud cuckoo land. That could have just been lazy journalism though.

I think this post is far too sympathetic. Tuenzebe is a professional footballer and on a decent wage. He has played several games now to bed in and we were playing against a rock bottom Rotherham side who haven’t won away in forever.

With his CV he should be able to coast through a game of that level and if things aren’t going right he should be able to help make the difference. He was a passenger.

He was superb at Watford just before Christmas.

People seem to change their opinions with the wind on here. 1 off game or mistake and it’s all sh1t and one good game and they’re premier league players.

Fact is he’s barely played much football in a long time now, when he has for us half of the time it’s been out of his conventional position. I don’t think it’s entirely fair to judge him on 20 minutes against Rotherham in a side that looked like it had ran its race at that point, after an all round disjointed team performance. He’s certainly got a lot of quality, that much is obvious.

100 percent agree with this post.

Players always take the advantage to join a team and can cement their place in a squad by playing well and looking sharp. When they dont take the option to step up thats their choice and he has now had several opportunities and has not taken any of them them in my view

He's been singled at in a very poor team performance. The team was playing very poorly before and after he came on. I think the terms 'awful' and 'appalling' on this threat are the overtime the top bits.

I think he was poor. Misjudged stab back and right towards the end I felt he was too passive defending back stick and luckily their lad knocked it out. Looked lacking in confidence and a bit unomfortable at RB for me. But he wasn't alone it coming on and playing poorly. Luongo was the same but we have complete trust in him.

If he had a run of games he would get better and better. We can't afford that though so he's in a sticky spot. It doesn't matter if you are apro footballer or the money you are paid. You can't flick a switch and perform the same as if you have been playing every week.

Having had a few days to consider. I’m going with the line that if KMcK plays him he’s fit but it’s highly likely he’s not match fit. I’m not sure what we can expect from players that are only getting minutes in the odd game, however he might be about to get a whole load more minutes and with that being the case I’m not going to go all in and write him off. He is providing important cover across several positions. I’m praying he can get match sharp and contribute when needed!

How do we know he’d get better and better?

Clearly McKenna doesn’t think so or he’d have done just that a while ago.
