I would just point out that the main thread on Gaza, on which I tend to post a lot, has been fairly good natured in recent months.
Let's hope it keeps that way.
For my own part, I think it is perfectly possible to post things on even controversial issues without being provocative or offensive.

Valiant efforts to stick to just the one thread were pretty successful I thought; shame to see the dilution with so many others, as I think that both clogs up the board and makes it difficult to keep track.
If the long thread does keep going, one change I’d like to see is for a warning when very graphic descriptions are about to be made. Youngsters, people suffering from PTSD or similar, or just anyone who finds those kind of details hard to take, should have the choice to be able to avoid them. |  |
