We’re after him permanently he reckons rather than a loan. Loan to buy if we stay up discussed apparently though. Imagine the scenes if we bought him. I’d cream myself tbh.
25M on any new player is a risk but if you consider his obvious potential to grow on the pitch and value, we know he works well with the current squad and Kieran, he likes it here and Kieran wants him etc the risk is certainly mitigated compared to a new unknown player . Sign him up! hopefully 15-20m plus add ons will be enough

When you put it like that, why the hell not. Get the lad signed up on a 5 yearer.
Stuttgart haven't spent more than 9m in the last five years, probably extends further back too, and that is with some fairly hefty fees in too (well according to transfermarkt). Though appreciate their situation may have changed a bit with CL. It so so weird thinking that we are the big spenders potentially!!! And ro be competing for transfers with the team that finished 2nd in the Bundesliga lol.
We’re obviously going to be bringing in higher caliber players now to try and compete in the PL. This clearly, will be eye -wateringly expensive. How the hell does the club manage the differential in wages between, say, Omari, coming in on something like ( I don't know),£50k a week to our highest paid current first teamer who might only be in say £15k ?

I like the loan with option to buy option. Lets see if he can do it against the best first. (sure he can, but lets be sure) £25M next season would be far more affordable FFP wise.
Yeah, just ask for another loan. Why wouldn’t Chelsea want him to develop in the PL under a manager proven to improve him? It’s a no-brainer for them if they want to keep him. I’d push for a loan with a year extension clause.
Not that I trust a Twitter link, however many followers the bloke has got. Let’s not forget there was someone with 88 million followers who during the pandemic suggested people inject themselves with bleach. It’s not a good indicator of reliability.

I’m convinced you can still find bargains if you know your onions (and KM does). Leicester unearthing Kanté and Mahrez for under £1m, for example. Down here Swansea picked up Michu for £2m and he tore the league apart until injury finished him off. It’s not easy, but it’s possible.

I agree with you and certainly trust our processes now, without doubt .

I know wages could be an issue, but if true £25M is a bargain compared to other PL transfers.
I can't help thinking that that is a lot of money, and for that much, we are better looking elsewhere. Just think about how much we will have to spend to get the whole squad up to a similar level.

Loan deals are fine however it means he can't play against the basket club
Having players to loan out is a warping of the competition. Loans in the Premier League should be for one year and the loaning team should have no say for that whole year and they should be able to play against the parent club.

So, this is where we go back to MMs post earlier today about Dan James.
Dan James was bought for around £25m.
Hutch looks like £25m as well.
Both are likely to be available for somewhere around £15m plus add ons.
Of the two, Hutch is the one we'd buy, every time.
No idea on the values, but I’d prefer Hutch too. Maybe that’s just because of where he is and the expectation around his potential. Mind you, DJ had that potential too. Dare I say it, DJ was more influential for Swansea in his season there than Hutch has been for us. But he’s gone off the boil a bit since. Still, I’d like to think that the sky’s the limit for Hutch under KM.
A lot of people are.getting bogged down in details. Let the money men do their thing and bag a match winner. They know their limits, we don't. They also know other targets and presumably need to hold money in reserve for January.
This is the exciting bit. The bit where we spend money and someone holds up a scarf. Bring it on!
If you liked my post, please take the time to upvote it. It's very much appreciated.

That's an interesting fact. When you look at the many players in the lower reaches of the prem who would take 30m plus to prise them away from their clubs, you do wonder how a team like Stuttgart can have the success they have in what is a decent enough league. We really do have an overinflated market here. The sooner we spread our scouting tentacles the better, but I appreciate these things take time.
In Kieran we trust.

Thus guy is why i go to football. Lets do it!!
So I'm reading through the thread and my brain is exploding with the idea of spending $15-25m on a single player - I can't quite compute it, especially given I haven't paid any attention to the Premier League or Champions League for over 15 years and in my mind $20m seems like it should be a 'take your pick from the best players in Europe' price (I literally haven't heard of half the England squad - couldn't tell you what clubs they play for or what position they play in).
These numbers seem insane for a 21 year old we had on loan last year...annnnnd.....then I watch the video and I'm all in...f*** it, let's spend $40m on the guy.
