Profit and wealth created in this country should be taxed in this country.
Maybe a tad cynical but I’m pretty sure that it is quite an easy thing to do but those wealthy individuals donate a lot to politicians and so it won’t be done with much enthusiasm. |  | | |

I'm not one for the politics of envy and attack the mega-rich for the sake of it, but it would be nice if they had to play by the same rules as everyone else. Once you get your income through investments, your personal tax rate drops like a stone. I think you can take out up to 5% of your fund value each year tax free. Something like that anyway. So someone with £1million invested can draw an income of £50k tax and NI free. And shelter it from inheritance tax liability through trusts. It doesn't seem fair. An employee earning £50k per year has to give up £12,500 of that in taxes. |  |
