If anyone is watching this debate.

What an absolute clown she really is, completely out of touch, clueless. Getting literally laughed at every time she answers a question.

She looked good carrying a sword but she’s just your typical, nasty Tory.

Both her & Rayner are dragging each other down to a low level. Very poor in my opinion.

Keeps repeating lies. Utter contempt for the people.

Labour are far from perfect but they literally can't be any worse and they should be a lot better in many ways.

Truly impaired.

Spot on. Those two really represent the state of both parties at the minute in my humble opinion. It really is sad when you have two really weak main political parties, and some even weaker smaller parties, it just becomes a vote for who's the best out of a bad bunch. And that is never good for our society.

She is quite presentable to a man of a certain age, bit like Priti Patel. They'd be spilling out the most awful right-wing guff but there's something about them.

It was much simpler when they looked like Ann Widdecombe. She never gave me a boner announcing a tough stance on immigration on a cold day with her nipples on display.

The problem is its not who is the best out a bad bunch. Its who is less worse out of a bad bunch. All a load of self serving w@nkers

I’m in no way a Farage supporter, nor do I endorse his policies and what his party stands for but he’s a good public speaker in the way he presents himself. The content obviously Lacks any substance of course.

As far as I could see (and I had to skip through the last bit) not a fkn word about carbon neutrality or any environmental issues. I understand that there are so many social disasters in play at the moment, but we simply have to be selfless enough to look at the bigger picture, the issue that will define the underlying foundations of every single one of the issues which have been so passionately debated tonight.

The first question was on oil and gas, and the affect on the environment against employment. As close as they got to the environment.

Not according to Telegraph readers! But Mordaunt was far behind Farage.

That deranged "stand up and fight" speech she gave at the Tory conference last year really should have been the end of her political career, at least as a serious politician who might serve in high office. But this is the party that gave us Boris Johnson and Liz "Pork Markets" Truss so lump on Penny for next leader.

I feel a bit for her cos she is literally standing there and it's her job to defend the undefendable .... it would be like any of us going on TV on a football programme 4 years ago and trying to argue that Paul Lambert was doing a good job

I’ve not watched any of the ‘debates’. For years they’ve just been shouting matches - politics reduced to Jeremy Kyle.

She has been in the cabinet for the last 10 years helping to shape indefensible, so I don't feel too much sympathy for her. More like Clegg or Milne repeatedly arguing that the managers under Evans were doing a good job.

I can actually see her as the next Tory leader if i'm honest - At the end of the day it's her job to go and defend their record and she probably feels a total muppet doing it much in the same way Starmer said he did when he was arguing for Jeremy Corbyn 5 years ago.

i get she was in the cabinet but how much actual input she has is questionable, when she was running for the leadership last time she had very different ideas to both Truss and Sunak so we will never know .... at least she can put up an argument !!
