Hull want a bidding war to start it seems. Doubt we’ll get involved in one.
I don't see us going for a championship cb when we already have wolfy. Burgess and edmundson and Axel. Plus the likes of Baggott to come through. If any cb Is signed I'd imagine it'll be one with premiership experience to add known quality and experience to the backline not potential.

If he’s considered good enough why not? Burgess is 29, him and Ax el only have a year leafy on their deal. So would be an investment for the future and now.

Rodon makes sense to me. Prem and plenty of international experience whilst also being the best CB in the championship last season

Greaves was in the Championship team of the season and Hull player of the year I think.
Him and Rodon were easily the best two CB’s I saw last season across many championship games watched.
Both are a level up from what we have in my view.
We aren’t offering £10m - £15m for players we don’t see immediately improving the XI.
It's a good job we don't base recruitment on games we played against the player last season because I didn't think Greaves was that special in either one.
I'm not convinced he is that much better than Burgess, but he does have more pace. I guess we need to cover ourselves in various positions because as of right now we have no idea how many of our regular first team from last year will handle the step up.

We’d go for a championship defender of KM deemed better than the championship defenders we already have.
Matters little what league they’re from if they improve the squad.

No sht. And we may well do.
But with a bit of finances available if there was an option to look at cbs with prem experience over a top champ player I'd imagine we would be keen on the former first.
If that's not an option of course a top champ defender who he deems better than our current ones is welcome.

Good CBs with Prem experience will cost double that of Greaves...

Depends, it worked for Brighton when they signed Webster for £20m+.

Greaves didn’t win player of the season in an attacking Hull side that had Philogene, Cavahlo etc without being bloody good across the season.
I really don't think that makes a difference when signing a £20m CB to go straight into your first team.
Year 1 or Year 3, you make the signing if you feel the player is better than what you have.
My point though isn't about only signing a champ player it's more that I'd be surprised if our money went that direction over one with prem experience.
