Last season we scored ten goals in six games against current Premier League teams, winning three and drawing two of those.

No. But then I questioned it last season too, so you can safely ignore my view.

Enough for mid table currently. We’ll sign one more to really help our top 6 finish.

Hirst is going to surprise people this season. 15 goals from him.

Expect Szmodics or similar cover for CAM/10 will see the attack largely sorted. Part of the reason we scored the most goals in the league was the intensity we played at and the speed of our forward passes. Leeds were probably better technical players man for man, but they couldn’t match our relentlessness. In the final 15 particularly, we just went at the opposition until they cracked.

Looking at the fitness of the players I think KM is turning quite a few of our players into prem efficient players.

I'm gonna go for Harness as surprising town player next season.

I think you might be right with that, but as more of a specialist off the bench, perhaps a man-marker in certain games. Taylor might be the same, but I'm hoping he can be a bit more than that.

What both perhaps lack in their game at the moment is that they need a bit too much time on the ball for PL level. If KMc can coach that into them (and I don't know if you can really coach that) they could both be regular contributors.

No not yet. Philogene was a key part of the jigsaw in terms of profile so a signing of similar calibre will be required.

We will need a 3rd striker so whether we keep Al Hamadi in the squad (seems unlikely as he needs to go and learn in the champ) or more likely sign another striker (I expect a loan).

Think one more up top, two in midfield and one more in defence will be coming in. We need a more out and out striker I reckon and am sure KM is all over it. We will have goals throughout the squad, like last season, so a 20 goal striker isn't essential for us.

If we can get in an out and out striker permanent or loan ..probably be near the last week before kick off..when all clubs will know who they have for the season and want to off load some..plus I feel we need two good midfielders as that is where control of games be won or lost and the GK

Haven’t we had this debate over the last two seasons and come good scoring nearly 200 goals in the process? I trust the system.

Looking at last season’s stats we get goals from all over the pitch. A lot of them.

We obviously are not going to rack up the numbers of the last two seasons, but because of the way we play we will score enough.

I’m more concerned with midfield than the forwards. There’s a long way to the end of the transfer window.

This.

Clearly, scoring goals in this league is a LOT tougher than the championship, but we've made an art form of scoring from any number of game situations - set pieces, counter attacks, sucking in the opposing press, beating a low block etc. We'll also be adding more players to the squad in the coming weeks too, which will add to our overall threat.

This season will be tough, no point pretending otherwise, but we've got a decent chance to be competitive and I'm confident(ish!) that we'll avoid the drop. Keeping McKenna is the key to that confidence though - had he gone then I'd feel very differently.

Agree. I actually think we’ll be in the top or middle of that third tier. Getting off to a good start will be key.

Time was when Town supporters supported their own players rather than constantly crave other teams players and rented mercenaries.

They have scored quite a few in recent seasons. And might actually be looking forward to the challenge.

What about Nico Williams? Lamine Yamal? Kobbie Mainoo? The idea that you need experience and someone ‘who knows the PL’ is an out dated concept.
