I don't agree with it, but I sort of get it.
The Premier League is scary, and all we have done for the last 2 years is win and win some more. It is going to take some of our fans a while to get used to not having everything our own way.
The main thing is that this feeling doesn't turn in to negativity towards the players who deserve our full support. Trust McKenna and Ashton. Chill out. Enjoy the ride. |  |

There will be overreaction by a few wet wipes but I believe most people are realistic. People are of course free to air their views but it tends to be the most negative that do so the most.
Last season we went into the championship with a championship team. It was pretty obvious we’d do alright the only question being how alright. Little did we know.
It’s different this year. We know the gap to the PL is that much greater and so is our chances of struggling. Especially if half the players are out injured/other reasons. I looked at the the new players and wondered if they’re that much better than what we had for the money? Johnson? Looked no better than Clarke. Delap - ineffectual. Keeper and CH - quality.
But how can you judge people who have been here for two mins in a pre season friendly three weeks out? You can’t, but of course people will. It’s how it is.
The key to our team was how it knitted together in the system the manager wants. Every player who came in last year did that and if the right characters are brought in, the same will apply this season. Lots to do. |  | | |

There are a handful around us who rocked up half way through the L1 promotion season, presumably with half STs and of course stayed last season. Their levels of expectation and lack of realism are already threatening to go off the chart. Note that this is three or four separate groups, they don't all know each other. It's infuriating and so effing annoying and sometimes completely ruins the game as it's incessant and ignorant, whiny nonsense.
Fans were always going to come back in droves with the promise of winning games and playing exciting football. That's normal. It's good PR is packed again. Yet... yet I (very) weirdly miss it when we were genuinely sh1t and the complaints were justified. Obviously I prefer Town to be successful but as I've said before it's the entitlement and ignorance of my fellow fans that will drive me away rather than being thrashed on the pitch.

The players on the other hand will be taking it one game at a time. The approach should not change from last season.

I think i'd be disappointed if we got hammered by Liverpool, given it's at our place and they have a new manager etc, but i fully expect nothing lose than a 6-0/8-2 etc from playing City both times. They are specialists at ripping apart promoted teams. | |
