What are your thoughts so far?

I like the right hand side of the poster, but the left bit kinda looks like an unfinished cup of tea.

Interesting new signing going up, am I right in assuming that that looks like an LED sign and not just a random white backround behind the words.. so maybe expecting a bit of pre game advertising?

Can’t help but laugh as the blokes were putting up a sign saying ‘get closer’ their cherry picker was getting further away!

(Dark humour I know, thankfully nobody was hurt, so feel it’s ok to laugh about now)

Why have they started with the Town and not Ipswich?

Imagine the lettering will be blue, unless it’s like the one outside the main entrance.

It’s not a screen so not sure what you mean by advertising?

That left bit is the grass roof of the Uni building.

After helping with sign fitting as a sideline a while back, a tip given to me , was where your sign is going to finish is as important as where it starts! They do seem to have plenty of room to play with there though!

There is a lot of the PL requirements that will go unseen and frankly they are massively ott however the knock on to actually investing and maintaining how PR is presented to supporters and fans from other clubs is awesome.

Thanks for clarifying, I didn't know if it was a screen due to the white backround, looks slightly odd, I would have thought it would just be white writing against the black cladding.

Town have applied for planning permission to install new signage on the back of the Sir Alf Ramsey Stand. 37



The old town badge signs lights had gone, as mentioned by Ashton. The two badges at each end and the lettering are going to be illuminated. Letters white on black in the planning, don’t think that will change and the white background is temporary in the works photo shared.

It’s all about creating that welcome to the club from the station approach.

This top layer is enduring. The bottom graphic is a huge mural of Ipswich as part of the University of Suffolk 4 year sponsorship of the stand. Representing Ipswich skyline and their campus. They have signage already at the front of the roof overlooking the ground.

Gonna look busy.

they are doing a good job with sprucing up the stadium, a lot of it feels superficial and that's not a criticism of anything they are doing. The club are putting a bit of pride back into it which was long overdue but the fundamentals of an old stadium when you really look at the details especially in the 2 side stands are never going to make the stadium feel top level.

I think that the University of Suffolk is sponsor is nice, good to keep it local and ethical. But the tagline "get closer" is really garbage and meaningless for something so prominent. They obviously don't run a good Copywriting BA.

yeah correct, would have used AutoCAD - measured from the centre of the stand facia and extended left and right so it was centralised.
