Hasn't taken long has it. on 17:08 - Aug 24 with 1298 views | Vegtablue | Yes we need to be building these boys up for Fulham. I won't be happy if I hear anything but huge enthusiasm when the lineup is announced next Saturday! Don't be sabotaging ourselves just because of a few gobsmackingly bad moments against the world's best.
Hasn't taken long has it. on 17:23 - Aug 24 with 1248 views | Churchman | Two years ago we played at Forest Green on the New Lawn. And we won! Yay! Today, we lost heavily to what is probably the best club side in the world. We lost with a partly formed team that has just been promoted. As anyone who has not been drinking would have expected. In the last couple of seasons, we signed a few players for £1m and loaned in a few prospects and older heads. Today we are signing more expensive players but facing the likes of Haaland and Doku and f knows who else. Patience and perspective. Without it we stand no chance. The reality is that MC, Liverpool and Arsenal are a country mile better than the rest including us. It’s how it is. Live with it. I didn’t see the game. Did the players give their best? Were there any signs of players adapting to the top level and the team coming together? I’ll have a watch of the game later and if they didn’t try I’ll have a rage. If not, let’s see how we look this time next Saturday. The club and the team have earned our support and a degree of realism in the face of the challenge. They’ll certainly get it from me. The bedsheet brigade can make their own minds up.

Churchman. There's been 0 moans about the result. Just first half moans about how the goals were conceded. Literally that is all. Honestly I feel ops are made like this to try and start arguments as in general the forums been quite normal and fair with people enjoying the games and seeing us compete.

And if your considered opinion is that was a cr*p performance, please find a different forum (WoTB for example). I first saw and fell in love with ITFC as a 13-year-old in 1967 and I am so proud of this squad and how we played in 2 games against Liverpool and City.

The OP is right in my view. Err, looking at multiple threads slaughtering the keeper, a post questioning McKenna and another Ashton over not offering Hladky a better contract, I’d suggest the bedsheet cadre are already out and about for the first time since Bristol Rovers away. If we don’t win a game or two in the next six weeks, the McKenna out brigade will be out in full force. ‘Not experienced at PL level’. ‘Out of his depth’’lost the dressing room’. Those not joining the chorus of gloom will be labelled happy clappers and all in their peculiar world will be well. But yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, including the Elephantidiot who will be posting regularly now the first two results have gone against us and his lot gained a brilliant point today in their Cup Final against Sheffield Utd. Edit: I just find the lack of patience a little sad. [Post edited 24 Aug 2024 18:18]

Hasn't taken long has it. on 18:19 - Aug 24 with 1139 views | Horsham | It’s almost like some people don’t appreciate that our team is adjusting to massive leap in the quality of opposition and that we haven’t yet got anywhere near playing the team we’ll come to think of our best 11. But for all that what I m find absolutely staggering at this stage how that people forget that no matter what they think about the tactics or execution that they might know better than LMA manager of the year Kieran McKenna…the man who quite simply is the very best person to manage this football club. People need to stop losing their heads.

Post like this you mean? You gave him 18 mins before laying into him. Sure he made a bad mistake but it's bullsh1t like this from our supporters which is just unacceptable.

Hasn't taken long has it. on 18:39 - Aug 24 with 1067 views | BloomBlue | You sound surprised. Too many glory hunters, it was always going to happen. Especially after the last two seasons where we pulled a rabbit out of the hat on more than one occasion. Anybody who understands football should be fully aware this season was going to be a massive challenge, christ KM has probably said it a million times now. You're Man City, Liverpool games were always going to be defeats especially for a team that was in L1 2 years ago. Look at the players were buying, they haven't been playing for top 6 prem league teams, ok Phillips came from City but he wasn't actually playing for them regularly. We've basically purchased players from the championship, relegated prem teams, and a player trying to rebuild his career. It will take time getting those players up to speed

Disagree. Football is an emotional sport. Love the various emotions being shown on the forum during the game. 1 minute elation. Next frustration. Followed by realisation and calmness. Love it.

Emotional reactions are understandable as you’re right it’s an emotional game. The problem with the emotional side is often it leads to horrendously bad takes.

No. Like I said. Posts made after the game not those made 1 second after a mistake is made. Anyways. We could drag this on. But no need. Games done. 99% of the forum is in good spirits. So let's look forward to the cup game.

They're the kind of in the moment posts that would get lost within 5 minutes if we had a match thread like most club forums. I'm sure most people did an expletive about their 2nd goal. On here they're amplified to the max.

Funnily enough most of us were in good spirits even after Murics mistake. Most of us didn't feel the need to berate him less than 20 mins into his debut, however you keep on being you.

There is a chat room open on this site for every game but instead some prefer to post rubbish in the forum during a game Don't understand why we need a match thread on the forum if we already have the match chat room, because even we did have some people would still start new threads. Maybe admin should lock the forum during games and have access to the chat room only?

Hasn't taken long has it. on 16:01 - Aug 24 by FromReuserWithLove | They are in-game reactions nothing more! Sorry I'm quite emotional when i watch the football and an immediate "OH FFS THAT WAS SH****TE" does not mean I've written off the whole team and club or appreciate how utterly fabulous everything is. Muric was appalling that half but I appreciate he is better than that and will have great moments over the season. Nor does it mean I won't back him wholeheartedly from the stands. I thought folks understood this on a football forum lol. |
Well said, you hit the nail on the head💪

Chat room isn’t for everyone, difficult to moderate, and I’ve swerved it since one guy’s persistent personal comments on there which made it an unpleasant space (long time ago now but put me off returning).

Hasn't taken long has it. on 16:44 - Aug 24 by BlueForYou | I hated the playing about with the ball across the back in League One, that didn’t change in the Championship, & hasn’t changed now! Just don’t think we will get away with it in the Premier. If it costs us points then it’s fair to be critical. |
So you’ve hated the way we played over the last couple of seasons? What a bizarre post!
