Agreed. He's had a decent career to date, he hasn't suddenly become a terrible player, and McKenna doesn't sign terrible players.
There's something there, he's certainly a good athlete and I'm confident McKenna can get his levels up.
None of which changes the fact he was awful yesterday, but as you say he wasn't alone in that. Let's not get into the business of scapegoating, that's not going to help. |  | | |

Probably lack of game time not many minutes this season and playing against a very tricky quality players who's late runs would catch many defenders in this league out, those wanting Clarke unless he's suddenly improved from last season wouldn't fair any better, hopefully he's injury free we may see differently, tuanzebe is a different class, |  | | |

Seems to be everything we were told by Burnley fans when he signed.
I don’t like - my instinct is that he’s far too erratic to be a top level GK, he’s one footed, and is nothing like as good with the ball as he’d like to think he is. I can’t believe the defence enjoy playing our game with him behind them. For balance he’s commanding and clearly a good shot stopper.

Nope. Thought he's been poor going right the way back to the pre-season friendlies. Looked completely out of place at right back for Fortuna but hoped it was down to lack of time on the training ground with the rest of the squad.
I remember when someone posted a link to a west ham forum reading that he can sometimes seem nervy and lacking confidence and that definitely seems to be the case. He doesn't look sure of himself at all and it's impacting his decision making, particularly in which position to take up when defending.
Tuanzabe took a bit of time to grow into the right back role, so I'm hoping Johnson still can, but it's not looking great | | | |
