To be honest over the last few years, and certainly since Lineker, Shearer and Richards started doing their podcast, its all become a bit less Match of the Day and far more 'Gary Lineker and Pals'.
The joking about around the penalty shout against Leicester was really indicative as to how far MotD has fallen.
In terms of replacements - Laura Woods or Manish Bhasin would both be a welcome change, given the salary previously paid to Lineker, I sure either would be tempted. |  |

Good point about the Lineker and Pals vibe.
I wouldn't choose Laura Woods, she would probably fall into the Woods and Pals version of MOTD.

....but this is 2024 (2025 by the time he goes) so the chances of it being a male are very low.

Who was your response to? I didnt say anyone was awful.
