Hutch 20:05 - Nov 20 with 3085 views | Reus30 | I think maybe this is something slightly overlooked because he hasn't scored yet but what a player he has developed into in less than 18 months. Always driving, always on the front foot defensively and gives it everything. I just have a feeling that this will be the weekend he gets the goal his play has deserved. He likes to shine bright in big games and I suspect a nice 20 yard pearler will do nicely.

Hutch on 06:11 - Nov 21 with 2423 views | franz_tyson | He was brilliant last game, yet he hasn't been consistently good this season. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. He's a work in progress and still learning. To balance it out he hasn't scored this season and many think he's ineffective in the central 10 role. Maybe he's saving his first goal for this weekend.

I think it's really important to point out the less a team has the ball and the less they dominate the less any Attacking player will stand out and particularly in the sort of mould as Hutchinson who is a big moments player. He simply has less opportunities and chances. So a lot is not on him. I think he's been good. Just a really tough ask.

Hutch on 08:06 - Nov 21 with 2133 views | bournemouthblue | He must have the odd assist? I think McKenna likes him, particularly for the counter attack and knows we are going to need to do that a lot more in the Prem Chappers was a breath of fresh air in the games he played though, ideally Hutch plays on the right and Chappers or Szmodics in the middle What has happened to Broadhead, the way things are going, you do wonder if he is either going to be loaned or sold in January

Hutch on 08:20 - Nov 21 with 2070 views | Churchman | Not overlooked by me. First name, along with Delap, on the team sheet. Terrific player who is going to be a real star. Constantly probing, trying things, plenty of pace and threat, Hutchinson has had to adapt to a lot of new players next to him and behind him. He’s also had to bridge the PL quality gap as they all have and from what I’ve seen in the last few games, he’s doing that. He’s learning and growing up too. I noticed against Leicester how every time Chaplin or whoever took a shot, ok, he doesn’t always make the right choices, but he’s always in a position to make a choice. He certainly got it right when he tore Spurs a new one for the second goal. The goals will come. It’s a pleasure to watch him play. [Post edited 21 Nov 2024 8:43]

Some of the criticism of him I hear at away games is just laughable. At Spurs he gave an incredible performance, contributing massively to both goals and then second half being an outlet to defend from the front. People at half time saying he needs to do more. People after the game saying he was better second half. He’s definitely had a couple of quieter games but at 21, eleven games into a PL career, playing the 10 for a team that plays like we do, he’s doing incredibly well.

Totally agree, keep hearing people say he's been disappointing so far (until Spurs game anyway) and wonder exactly what they think they're watching.

It’s probably not a bad thing right now that he’s not delivering the “numbers” we know he’s capable of. His development probably going slightly under the radar & we are still carrying a decent goal threat without him contributing actual goals & assists.

It was clear after last season we needed to get him back here this season. I thought a loan was the best we could hope for and it's fantastic to have him signed and developing at the rate he still is.

He took half a season to get up to speed in the Championship. Then he was sensational. This is another level again, and he has been so brave to keep sticking to his style, not playing safe, but also his hold up play at the end of the Spurs match was selfless and mature. Make no mistake that this lad has all the attributes and is now being given a golden, gilt-edged chance to hit a huge growth trajectory, by starting Premier League matches and playing against the best. Shows KM trusts him, and that can only help him grow in confidence, intelligence and ability. Awesome talent and thoroughly deserved goal today.
