Lot of people desperate to dig out Muric again 17:10 - Dec 14 with 5563 viewsReusersTown

Seems we've got the usual situation where those that have stuck their colours to the mast about Muric are more desperate to be right than do what is right for the team.

You might also want to keep your powder dry, it looks like a big deflection off Clarke to me.

Fantastic win and finally getting something from a game that we deserved, however there’s no denying the fact it was another Muric error. He’s going to need to turn his performances from erratic to consistent for him and Town to be given the best chance of staying in the Prem.

Look again, huge deflection, really noticeable from one of the alternate angles. Even if it it was an error, he is the best we have and people who are only interested in throwing him under the bus for self glorification aren't helping.

The hatred for Muric is at the level where people can't wait to post about him. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the more idiotic posters were gutted when we won.

Yep, I thought it was a deflection too. But the match commentary team didn't mention that and those with their knives out for Jano were handed another stick to beat their chosen scapegoat.

Apologies for all the metaphors.

Muric does make some idiotic decisions

but he also makes some fantastic saves

he’s OK with his feet

he can be slow getting things going

height matters in the PL

he’s better than Hladky

It's more than fans just being annoyed though isn't it, he's been targeted to the point questions are being put to McKenna. As I've said it also took a big deflection, but those who in an talking about obviously don't want to acknowledge that.

Most posters on here know nothing about goal keeping.

You can never fully protect your near post or you are opening up too much of the goal for the attacker. You play the percentages.

Also the shot took a nick off Clarke, without that Muric saves.

Most of the opinion on here following the goal is just reflecting Gary Birtles thoughts, someone who last played top flight football nearly 40 years ago and never played in goal in his life. You might as well be asking Saint and Greavsie about goalkeeping.

He was absolutely being dug out. Not even in question.

People need somewhere to put their frustration and it's going on him right now.

Fantastic win.

I know enough to read the facts that he’s cost us points this season.

That’s why I’m uncomfortable watching him in goal. If that’s ok.

Thing is tho text. Some of the shots going at him shouldn't even have a chance of being made.

That goal shouldn't have been allowed to happen, that's not on muric that's on clarke and the cms not dealing with the attack.

End of day you can't save every single shot that goes your way.

Having just seen the goal and as an ex keeper myself not sure how people are blaming him for that, it was well struck goal people just need to get off his back.

Indeed, a few were trying to say Onanas save against Delap was lucky, after he was awarded save of the month. Completely ignoring that he'd got himself into position and made himself huge at exactly the right time to pull off the save. Some people just don't have a scooby about goal keeping at all.

That onana save was ridiculous. Even the shot was brilliant by delap as it went in the opposite directing you'd normally as a keeper expect it to go.. but onana met that test equally. Incredible save

Do you think he had a good game? I don’t blame him for the goal as I thought it was deflected at the time. My main gripe with him today is that he got progressively shakier as the game went on. The more we tired and the more pressure we invited, the worse he got. That’s the opposite of what I want in a keeper in a relegation scrap.

No way near his worst performance though. Thought he did OK.

Don't you think tho he faced far to many shots in that final 15 minutes.

It became a bit like target practice towards the end. Yet he still calmly claimed high balls and when put in awkward positions with the ball to feet he calmly passed it to Burgess or taylor etc.

After they scored his confidence looked shot and he looked shaky to me also.

Yup, and it’s quite clear McKenna is going to stick with him as well.

Think it’s better for him and us that we continue to stick with him, can’t keep chopping and changing the keeper and back 4 as we’ll get no consistency that way.

Lot of people desperate to dig out Muric again on 18:16 - Dec 14 with 2431 viewsKropotkin123

Could he have done better? Maybe. Was he the main culprit in the goal? No = aerial duels and out of position defending.

But silly to see people focusing on him this week. I say that as someone who would hope we are looking for better keepers in January.

I think people generally need to calm down a bit. We're in the Premiership off the back of back-to-back promotions. We are going to make errors this season. Need to be together this season. Just look at how **** and negative the Wolves support was.

We're better than them. Let's keep it that way.
