Al Hamadi really isn't up to it. 22:07 - Dec 27 with 4973 views | DublinBlue84 | He gets in the way of people more than contributes, criminal that we went into this season with him as our third striker, a huge failing by the club. Time to loan him out in January for the season and get someone who can cause trouble. Nothing against the guy but he's nowhere near good enough for this level. Twice this season he's got in a way and blocked a shot from a teammate, it's not his fault, we just are pushing him too hard and before he's ready for it. [Post edited 27 Dec 2024 22:13]

You do it every week though, first half, second half and after the final whistle. You're an obsessive whinger.

Al Hamadi really isn't up to it. on 22:20 - Dec 27 by Swansea_Blue | Ah right, that makes sense then as the current post is pretty much spot on. He’s a L2 player we were hoping could develop into a Championship player in time. But he’s ours, so we have to support him. He’s trying his best and seems like a nice lad and good team mate. And he’s getting a bit of a chance, so if he can take it then great. I’m more gutted that bloody Havertz scored against us. I’m struggling to think of a more overrated player. Greaves will be really pissed off about switching off there. |
Not sure why it's being pinned on Greaves. Johnson beaten, Woolf wafted at it and missed and Greaves also couldn't connect. Mix of very good play by arsenal, a bit unlucky and 3 players not getting it 100% in a moment.

You're regularly an overly critical b*llend though. Was this thread really necessary when the merits/issue of Al Hamadi have been discussed and nauseum, just so you can have a dig.

It looked like Greaves’ man to me, and based on his reaction he knew it too. I could be wrong though.

Yeah if we want to be picky he's Greaves' man but once Johnson's beaten, any ball that gets hit across the front of the goal like that is always going to favour an attacker who's running in to meet it. Johnson getting done a bit too easily was the problem with that goal.

But the truth is Al Hamadi did well, created a bit of chaos and whether through luck or by design fed the ball to others. Considering how well martialed Delap was....this game was so not the one to lay into AAH over.

This would have been a better post to start with! I think everyone knows that plan is for him to go on loan and we didn't get someone else in the summer. He's trying his best and has been ok in most games. |

Commentators put it down to Greaves too. I thought Havertz made good movement and it was a good finish from him. I felt Davis should have got there ahead of him but Havertz got in front of him. Greaves maybe should have cut it out. Ultimately it was a bit of skill from Havertz. Gabriel should have scored one. The biggest disappointment for me was that we didn't take the risks in the final third. Szmodics should have shot first time at the start of the second half. We improved second half. I think that with Hirst and Morsy available, we probably get something from that game. Bearing in mind that is Arsenal away, that is encouraging. Need to get a couple more in January to give the quality of cover we need.

A scary thought. Don't think he ever was on our books as a player.

Agree with this. The cross should never have been allowed to get into our six yard box. Also Woolfie’s clearing header that went straight to Triossard wasn’t great. Not all on Greaves at all, as it seems to be being made out.

KM has never really been to bothered about crosses making the box as we soak up the majority well. Various issues once the cross is made Wolfy could he have headed it? Some say he could some say not... Greaves.. looks behind sees the arsenal player but doesn't move his own position.. imo he needed to drop deeper to protect the goal better. Davis. Another one where he ends up being the closest player to the scorer. As he can see the gap in front of him should he do better to put the player off Muric.. anyball that comes across the goal.. should that be keepers ball.. is that why Greaves didn't drop further etc etc.

Yeah, I noticed that earlier. He was on the same rating as Kai Havertz whilst Kalvin Phillips was rated worst of all (3.something) which I think just goes to prove that people who log on to the BBC to vote often have motives other than how well a player actually played.
