Where do our players live? 14:50 - Jan 11 with 11257 viewsbgexile

Keep it general... we don't want to encourage any stalkers.
In town? Near the golf course? In a village?

Don’t the club own a flat or flats close to water so assume these are used by loanee players?

I know of 2 players and ex kitman, Paul Beesley who lived in a house on Henley Road…. which I later heard was a house the club owned.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

Several of the younger players in the squad all live in a big house, in a small town outside of Ipswich

Davis lives in the Shotley area.
Burns lives in the Tattingstone area.
Woolf lives in the estate where St. Clements used to be.

Dunno anyone else.

He does, and I think his sidekick lives next door? Walked past the other night, nicely understated, no flash motors, perfect.

Is it? If you live in Ipswich these are your true local heroes. I've always found it fascinating because money wise they can live wherever they like. So always facinates me they live x y z.

Richard Wright lives at the top end of Westerfield road up near the Valley road roundabout. At least he did 25 years ago when I were a lad, can't imagine much has changed though.

Didn't Ashton used to say their contracts would stipulate they're expected to live within something like a ten mile radius of the town? Is that still a thing, or did I imagine that?

One who has fairly recently left us lived in Wickham Market.

I go past another ITFC stalwart’s house on my run.

There’s one of the first team squad that lives in a well-known village just north of Ipswich.

A famous ex-player from the 70s lives in Stoke Park.

Several from the Burley years lived off the bottom of Foxhall Road (on the right between The Golf and stock car stadium as you’re heading out of town).

Another famous 70s / 80s player lives just north of Christchurch Park.

It’s well known Sir Bobby lived on Constitution Hill.

I think Capel St Mary was also popular back in the 1970s with its slightly more spacious and swishy 60s and 70s houses.

And unless I am misremembering from my Bob-a-Job days, Colin Harper lived on Broke Hall Estate around 1970. He was a local lad.
