I called it out earlier in the season and I'll keep calling it out 22:12 - Jan 16 with 7176 viewsGarv

This team and manager doesn't deserve hoards of people walking out the stadium after 88 minutes just because we're losing. It makes the ground look a very sorry place at full time, and things like that will deflate players. We need the opposite.

Poor. If that's you, why not stick around and show some appreciation for the team?

I agree. I felt a bit sorry for KM when he came over to the north and lots were leaving or had left.

Slightly strange atmosphere tonight. It's almost like everyone's making their own personal decision about what they make of the current situation.

All I would say is losing to a very experienced Premier League side in a game that was competitive up until their first goal and in another Incredible effort of a season is another universe compared to some of the dire games we say through under Jewell, Mick, Hurst and Lambert.

Yeah I know. Couldn't think of a better one.

But it just goes down to thousands will stay each time and thousands won't.

So, nothing like going to the cinema at all then?

Let people do their thing.

Not if ‘Garv’ is calling it out mate. It’ll stop next game, and if not he’ll keep calling it out!!!

Yeah I’m stumped here. Is Frimmers shrooming?! He’s entirely fabricated a minutes silence which apparently dampened the mood.

Just home from the game, and totally agree. Around us in the SAR, people were leaving in droves at 80 minutes. The team and manager deserve more respect than that - I’ll always applaud them off at the end of the game, whatever the result.

Usually go around the 88-90 minute mark every game, so we can get out of the carpark and on the road back to Lowey. If I miss a winning goal so be it!!!

No it wasn't that minute I was referring to itself. It was the pause after it and the delay to the hey jude etc. I did incorrectly write silence instead if applause tho.

I think he was actually at the cinema, maybe applauding, maybe leaving early or booing, depends which film he was watching.

Thousands do and will always

Others fancy getting away and why not of the games lost and were playing with it around the back..

IF our players were a bunch of volunteers I'd get your view. But they're well paid footballers who have lost a game they're paid to do well in.

If I go to the cinema and the films poor I don't stay after and applaud it. So I'm not surprised many do the same with football

Do you clam to support a ‘film at the cinema’.

No you don’t. It’s a ridiculous comparison.

If you want to stay and clap, that’s up to you but don’t criticise others because they don’t. It’s not some kind of competition to prove who’s a better fan than others.

I never leave early but rarely stay and applaud the team afterwards unless they have done something special. Tonight was not one of those nights for me.

As for deflating the players, that’s up to them but if they are that fragile mentally we have a bigger issue. Personally I would take it as a challenge to perform better and deliver the performances that deserve that level of adulation rather than expect it.

Here we go again

Fans pay for their ticket the same as you and can do what ever they want in terms of how long they stay.

Before you ask I stayed to the end at what was an terrible performance by so many players in one game

I will be back on Sunday but just to p!ss you off I might leave early for the first time in 50+ years of following this team.

Well technically I've paid the cinema so I'm supporting them by doing so. And if I don't like what I've seen I walk out early. I've still supported the cinema as I've paid for my ticket.

Same with the town fans who left early. They've supported the club whilst there. When the leave the support will still register as the ticket was already paid for.

What you're asking for is for people to stay regardless if result and applaud the employees of the club your support. I always find that part interesting personally. If they've lost I don't see why you should stay and applaud the staff as they've not done a great job.

Don't worry. I know that's not a view shared by many but that's how I see it

As if we lost because the fans weren't up for it.

We lost because we didn't take our chances in the first half and were then second best in the second half.

Your opinion.

Watching it on the Tele. The whistle went. There was a omroar. Then silence and about 40 seconds later the hey jade song came on.. it just seemed to pause the build up unfortunately.

Not my opinion, it's a fact that going to football is in no way comparable to attending the cinema. There was also no silence, and the club were right to remember fans that are no longer with us. That's why I said you were posting nonsense.

I think leaving a couple of minutes early is fine, even if I'm a superfan and stay till the end, but the number getting up and leaving at 80 minutes last night was really poor.
