FrimleyBlue has gone again then. 04:58 - Jan 20 with 22989 views | MK1 | Clicked on his profile and it said "Error" Think that's a bit harsh if it was for his comment after yesterday's game, but overall not to surprised. He was ok pre season and a few games in, but his comments got worse as this season has gone on. If it's another little break for him, then I hope he has finally learnt from it, if it's a ban, then I will be slightly, ever so slightly sorry to see him go. [Post edited 20 Jan 5:00]

Of course everyone has different opinions, but he said things purely to get a reaction and wind people up. I muted him a couple weeks back after he suggested Mckenna didn't want to win. Not sure what he posted last night but im sure again it was just to get people to bite.

TWTD isn't something people have a right to post on, if your view is consistently negative and purposefully contrary, causing work and stress for the people who run a magnificent site, then frankly I'm amazed they've been as lenient with him for as long as they have.
FrimleyBlue has gone again then. on 09:19 - Jan 20 with 2025 views | blueasfook | Poor Frimmers. He's mostly inoffensive, even if you don't like what he posts. It's not like people are forced to read his posts.

FrimleyBlue has gone again then. on 07:30 - Jan 20 by SuperKieranMcKenna | What is it you like about his posts - the constant baiting, or repetitive nonsense. After Burns-gate he should have had a lifetime ban IMO - imagine trolling one of your own players through the most successful period in two decades. |
I’m not sure it’s baiting. He seems genuinely interested and thoughtful, but gets quickly obsessive about even the smallest tings. I wouldn’t be surprised he’s on the spectrum. Or he could just be very bored!

FrimleyBlue has gone again then. on 09:24 - Jan 20 with 1975 views | Jrm_72 | Sad post to read first thing. Some of his stuff I didnt agree with, and his worst posts were always after a frustrating game so you can see some dysregulation at play there. But I had a lot more time for him than I do for the bullies that relentlessly hounded him on here. Its a shame they've been rewarded, but then school was always pretty gutless at dealing with bullies too. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

FrimleyBlue has gone again then. on 09:09 - Jan 20 by Guthrum | I thought that particular comment by Frimmers was unnecessarily snide in the circumstances. Especially given the context that we are still in an ongoing battle to survive in the divisopn, not reacting to relegation. Plus, in any case, people carping at those who cheered the team after the last match in 2018/19 are missing the point. It was not celebrating the fact we had gone down, or the team and manager who got us there, but an expression of support for the club as an entity and of hope for a return to success in the future. Which, as it turned out, was not misplaced, even if it required a lot of changes and took longer than anyone wanted. |
For someone who hasn't been to a game in years I don't know why he's so steadfast in his opinion on how supporters should react to a heavy defeat. Not that it makes anyone any less of a supporter, I believe everyone is and there's many reasons why people can't or don't go to games, but most would be able to read the room. I'm not going to get personal of someone who isn't here to defend themselves, but his posts were either a) designed to be provocative and troll people or b) completely reactionary and unbalanced, time and time again. It was only a few weeks ago McKenna had 'checked out', lo and behold we beat Wolves and he's on here waxing lyrical again until the next defeat. It wasn't infrequent either, or a 1 off, and had been getting even worse of late. I'm quite surprised he was allowed back after the Burns stuff to be honest. People talk of mob rule but I don't really agree. We're all here largely with the anonymity of a username, there's no bias at play. Over a period of time if there's convergence among the majority of posters and people are routinely getting utterly wound up with 1 then it isn't a question of mob rule, its just really telling about how that 1 person is conducting themselves.

FrimleyBlue has gone again then. on 08:46 - Jan 20 by Kieran_Knows | I think the issue with him is that he already had a stint away from the forum because of comments made about a certain individual. You would have hoped that his time away from here would've made him rethink how he posts .... and it clearly didn't. The amount of threads, the amount of cr*p within those threads just made this forum so unbearable and unreadable at times. |
Why did you repeatedly choose to read his posts and the comments if they made the forum unbearable?

I didn't hang around on here for the post match brawl yesterday. I knew it would turn nasty. It does sound like Frimmers has become the escape goat. I bet it wasn't him chucking the abuse that Phil mentions around

He wound me up with posts a while back, but then really seemed to turn a corner and show he could look at things with a bit more thought added, looking at why things were happening, rather than just plain going for the jugular towards a player or even the manager. Then of late, he reverted back to type. We are all hurting after the last couple of results where we've seen the gulf in class between a team costing say £100m and one costing £1bn, just have to take it on the chin. It's clear as day how good those players are, and unfortunatlely for us, they clicked back into gear last night in emphatic style. Absolutely, I think we were getting undone on that right side, but KDB's movement...wow. We've pretty much all agreed how good Cajuste looks, well...KDB is that on another level again. Anyway, I digress. Loved our support for the team last night at final whistle, no issues with people leaving early, we all have reasons, but those who just hung around a bit and gave the team what I hope was a well deserved boost after a heavy defeat. Liverpool and Man City were free hits at the start of the season and were never going to define us, Man City last night and Liverpool this weekend similarly, won't define us. I've digressed sorry. Frimley never felt like a 'supporter' just wanted to find negatives and post as many of them as possible in bite sized chunks to consume the forum.

FrimleyBlue has gone again then. on 09:50 - Jan 20 with 1625 views | DJR | When did opinions on a football forum, however much people disagree with them, become known as trolling? As John Stuart Mill once said. “If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind.” In a modern context, abuse aimed at someone for expressing a view is not dissimilar to silencing that view. I just found him mercurial and mostly harmless. Some things he said I agreed with. But he obviously got a number of people's backs up - and after a heavy defeat is not the time to do that.

It's probably not trolling in the traditional sense, which was purposefully posting inflammatory things for the purpose of winding people up. I don't think he was a troll, he genuinely believes what he posts. With that said, he posted controversial (putting it nicely) takes and then got upset when called out for it. Then he'd have some white knights coming in to defend his right to post nonsense and it spirals from there into other arguments. I think all he really needed to do was exercise a little bit of self-control by not posting during and just after the game when his emotions were heightened. Hopefully we'll see him back as I quite liked him. [Post edited 20 Jan 11:54]
