If Wolves lose tonight then it's as you were.

But FFS, this was a game for the taking. A Southampton team without a point under the new manager, substitutions because their players were dropping like flies.

Going to be very hard to recover from this.

Oh and Muric can do one as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather go down with Slicker in goal.

I’m absolutely gutted.

So many of our squad just look way off the standard I’m afraid.

RIP Sir Bobby

That depends on what it does to morale.

I agree in terms of points, but its a piss poor result that could do more damage than the table shows.

Tbh I have a feeling Wolves will get something tonight. At home, local derby (sort of), Villa perhaps a bit knackered from the Champions League. We'll see.

Agree on Muric. That's enough chances now. Time for him to go.

Swap Muric for Ramsdale and we win that game 3-0.

Spot on with your first two lines.

Now we have got a closed window and 2 weeks without a league match. Does he give the full first team the Coventry match to give them a chance to play together? Does he make a few changes or rest most of them?

It will be interesting to see whether Slicker does get given a chance. I suspect he won't.

My concern is what this result does for the team’s confidence and self belief for the rest of the games. I feel in the last month our confidence has noticeably dropped anyway and imo it is reflected in the performances with regards our decision making in-game.

We're done for. Picked up 1 point in January. We needed 3 pts from today's game to stop the rot and give us a fighting chance.

I think we're pretty much doomed to relegation now barring some miracle results.

It's posssssible that Ramsdale was more what we needed to spend money on than Jack Clarke, certainly.

We're going down with a whimper and possibly just one or two more wins. Poorer record than Luton.

I am not sure Southampton will go for that deal but certainly worth a try. Maybe pay a fee on top?

Would Adam Armstrong join us as 3rd choice striker too?

Disappointing result yes, but by no means the end of the season.

2 week break from the EPL now, to regroup.

100% agree about not relegated now but we aren't going to get enough points to escape based on that result.

Exactly, our players will know the importance of that game and result today, regardless of KM’s comments to the media. We look a bottom 3 side to me in recent weeks.

We have been in recent weeks and that's something we need to change.

It should be encouraging that fans appear to have gone from expecting us to struggle to stay up to now expecting us to stay up, though, shouldn't it?
