Palmer any good with his feet 22:16 - Feb 3 with 2607 views | Nutkins_Return | Seen him in games for West Brom and always seems very capable. Just wondering what he is like with the ball at his feet if anyone has seen him more than me? Ha e we had to compromise on that element?

Ah sorry mate. I even had a quick check and didn't see one on the topic 🤣

Got this from wba fan 100% upgrade on muric kicking can be a tad dodgy at times but i'm guessing ipswich don't play out from back solid 8/10 Not sure of they were on a wind up or not

Palmer any good with his feet on 22:27 - Feb 3 with 2408 views | TheMoralMajority | Good stopper/reflex keeper. Deals well with crosses. Bad with his feet/distribution. That's the general consensus from WBA. [Post edited 3 Feb 22:30]

absolutely - couldn't agree more.

Palmer any good with his feet on 22:32 - Feb 3 with 2336 views | FrimleyBlue | Mixed reviews on the kicking from brom fans But and I think importantly there was a consensus that he is very quick at releasing the ball for counters. Something which muric appeared to be really slow at. Was never sure if this was a directive or if it was just muric not being confident to let go of the ball.

Palmer any good with his feet on 22:35 - Feb 3 with 2306 views | JammyDodgerrr | Look forward to seeing him. Don't know anything about him and seems odd WBA would let their Number 1 go for such a small fee but he's a great age and got good pedigree it looks like.

So, we play him with Woolfy in the backline?

He probably works well with Townsend as well, almost 100 games together at WBA, maybe we'll be seeing Townsend more. Footwork can be worked at, I am sure Palmer has a footballing IQ and isn't prone to suicidal or inexplicable decisions in matches. That alone, is already an upgrade.

For me, it feels like a bit like too little too late, but i'll hope until the maths say otherwise. I still think we're the most likely out of us Leicester and Saints to avoid 'the bounce', but we may be relying on Wolves to f**k up as well.

Would also be an upgrade to have a keeper able and willing to open their gob on the pitch occasionally so as to communicate with defenders and other teammates …

That failure to spring attack from the keepers hands is what has frustrated me the most! I know it was League 1, but the goal at Derby, Walton, to Broady, across to Wes, Chappers, bang! 5 seconds, hands to back of the net. Defences somewhat more disciplined in their league, I get that, but still..
