At the four-ball stage, if I'd been offered a guarantee of Exeter/Forest, or to take my chances with a 50:50 chance of City/Plymouth, I think I'd have taken that.

Certainly not the worst we could have had.

Tough draw assuming its a trip to City Ground. Hopefully Exeter turn them over tomorrow, I'd love a trip down there for old times sake.

Apart from Forest being way better than Man City this year. It's as tough as draw as we could've got. Balls

I don’t think there’s possibly a worse draw.

A ground I’ve already been to this season, or Canada

On Facebook a message came up saying "Best draw we could've for" and then immediately below on a different page someone said "that's a crap draw."

Either could be right.

Can’t deny it I wanted a home tie but forest away is winnable if it comes to that, plus we could force a replay……oh

Why would Forest away be the best draw we could've hoped for?

There's probably only a handful of worse draws.

I think I'd still fancy our chances more against Forest than I would against City. I don't think they'd quite hit their straps when we played them back at the City Ground, but we looked far closer to getting something against them than the aggregate score of 1-10 against City would suggest.

I thought that too. One of the best teams in the league, away....that doesn't scream 6th round to me

Have to admit I wondered that. Winnable I suppose. Personally I would've preferred any of the Championship clubs (bar Burnley) at home, but hey ho.

I guess it depends how seriously Nuno takes it. If Forest make a lot of changes then it might just be a bit of leveller.

If you look at their last cup game it was wholesale changes and the big boys only came on in the last 15 minutes - we are playing our second string so won’t expect them to play their first team- put second string look a little more gelled than the fists at the moment - nice little passages of interplay between Hirst, broadhead and clarke - no coincidence that we look more cohesive with hirst. Not knocking delap but hirst is far more of a team and interlinking player.

Especially if they’re still knocking on the door of Top Six. They may prioritise that as a shot at European football. Having said that, they might also fancy their chances of a Cup Final appearance.

Personally happy with Forest. I (hopefully) get to combine a full day of sport with Town in the afternoon and Ice Hockey in the evening. Plus should be some time to get some good grub in town between the two.

Agree with you re Hirst . I’ve tried to post similar in here only to be chastised for saying so. Hirst brings a far different attacking perspective to our game and we have sorely missed him. Delap is power and direct running. It’s eye catching and at times breath taking, but sometimes you need a bit more guile.

They’ll definitely fancy the cup given they’re one of the best left...I think they’ll put out a pretty strong team

Forest for arsenal before and man city after. I think they will save themselves for the league
