So how bad is out penalties record? on 22:18 - Mar 3 by LeoMuff
Got a hammer of a shot, just blast it Taylor ffs
What gets me is that the thing with penalties is the ones that normally are saved are those kind of penalties, put it in the corner hard enough and keeper can't get it.
It's not hugely rocket science that you hit a penalty like Jack did there is a good chance that a keeper will save it. There's decades of evidence of that to prove it yet players still do it.
Saying that it's probably about confidence, players who are too scared of missing the target normally hit penalties like that.

Exactly. If the keeper guesses right, it's going to be saved so 50/50.

Are you saying you think he meant to hit it meekly nowhere near the corner? I'm pretty sure that's not what he was aiming for, mate.

To be fair he looked absolutely terrified as he walked up so my hope weren’t up, especially after his awful penalty against Wimbledon earlier in the season. Think maybe he should just retire from penalty taking duties now.

Maybe he was the only other guy to put his hand up? Clearly not fit at the end of the game.
No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.
We did win one last season at Reading, which everyone seems to have forgotten!
Here’s our overall record. 28.6% success, though it doesn’t include a Full Members Cup one against Luton which we won in the early 90s and does include a load of LDV Vans nonsense. Take those out and our win % in meaningful cups is even worse - only 18.2%.
