He certainly gives it a decent whack doesn’t he. Don’t see that too often nowadays - I thought the days of a Lorimer special were gone, but apparently not!

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?

Struck first time with venom. Unstoppable.

His technique striking a ball is brilliant, I cant think of an Ipswich player who has been better at striking a ball with power like that in quite a while.
As a result his penalties are brilliant too.

Reminds me a bit of how Tommy Miller had such great technique to side foot a shot- completely different, but similarly perfect.

Not seen it yet. One player that could really hit a ball was Simon Milton. Even in the warm up he used to hit stinging shots.

Little old Eric Gates couldn’t half smash a screamer or two as well.

I’d love to have seen Ted Phillips in his pomp. There’s a pic of him taking a penalty against Arsenal and the ball is a blur.

Neil Thompson, Dalian Atkinson, Russell Osman and of course Kevin Beattie, but yes those are quite awhile ago.

Ive never seen anyone strike a ball like Amir Karic.

Some of the cross field stuff he hit for reserves, absolutely slammed, low trajectory, skimming about 6-8ft off the turf the width of the pitch and more.

Absolutely loved the finish. Properly drilled it. Considering he's found goals hard to come by of late, it shows what a confident young player he is to finish like that.

Just seen it. Net lifted off the ground. Bosh. Broadhead’s goal was a nifty bit of footwork too.

He reminds me of a lot of the legend around Ted Phillips

Who would never have signed for Ipswich were it not for my great grandad

Last time I saw a goal like that it was Hot Shot Hamish for Princes Park circa 1984.

If Kepa had got a hand on it, young Delap would be up before the judge with an ABH charge in the morning!

I thought with the Fulham and Villa home goals at the Churchman’s end the keeper might have been a bit suspect but now I’m convinced Liam Delap is attempting to put people in hospital with his right foot.

Watch the replay, Ben Johnson has his back turned and definitely said a silent prayer as he felt the ball fizz through the air lol
