McKenna linked with Spurs 18:23 - Apr 29 with 3070 views | Pixiethecat | Made me realise that gone are the days when loyalty meant something. I'm afraid I'm old school! Guess after nearly signing for Crystal Palace, having a look at Man Utd and Brighton, reinforces that if Keiran does go, we were always just a stepping-stone.

We have more chance of signing Ronaldo and messi than mckenna leave us ..he hasn't much credit in the bank. Getting a Club up to Premiership is one thing..keeping them in is ,is a different story..a lot of clubs would have watched to see how he cope..unfortunately it didn't work out .most mckenna could hope for if the owners had let him go, was another championship club..we will have mckenna for nxt few years .don't you worry about that

McKenna linked with Spurs on 19:03 - Apr 29 with 2700 views | VanDusen | Given we've won the league more recently he'd probably be better to stick with us! ;o) More seriously, though, it's a risk for him going there - they're fans with unrealistic expectations at the best of times and it can turn sour pretty quickly. If it doesn't work out then he risks becoming the new Graham Potter, who blew the 'most promising manager in country' mantle for a few months at Chelsea. But that's up to him - if he goes then we are in such a better position to attract a decent manager now than we were even two years ago. I've no doubt Ashton has tapped up plenty of names as a failsafe.
McKenna linked with Spurs on 19:05 - Apr 29 with 2691 views | MattinLondon | Football fans demand loyalty from successful managers or players but the same fans chant ‘get rid’ or ‘sack him’ if things go wrong. Loyalty and football are quite rare -remember when Scowie was booed? Old school loyalty that.

I doubt if McKenna would be able to take all of his back ground staff there! Levy usually just goes for manager or coach!
McKenna linked with Spurs on 07:53 - Apr 30 with 1464 views | The_Flashing_Smile | Last time I looked McKenna was still here, so why are you questioning the concept of loyalty (and by extension, his) because of a 'link'?
| Trust the process. Trust Phil. |

He may not have much credit in the bank with you, but he has with an awful lot of other people. Most can see what a massive challenge staying in the Prem is for a newly promoted club, particularly one that's been out of the league for so long. The notion that no Prem sides would be interested and the best he could hope for is a Championship job if we got rid is fanciful.

If he can’t be trusted to control who he’s linked with, we should sack him off now. I hear Gary Megson is available and not being linked with anyone, so he’d be a much more reliable option.

McKenna linked with Spurs on 08:49 - Apr 30 with 1170 views | Jon_456 | There’s some proper sh*te written on this forum but that post is right up. Of course we were always a stepping stone and still are. This is a guy that wants to manage the very best players in the world so he wasn’t dropping down to League One to remain there his entire life. It’s a credit to the club we were able to keep him despite the interest from Palace and Brighton/Chelsea previously.

We're not mate. Other Championship clubs might worry about it though - at least those who will be challenging for promotion next season, so not everyone perhaps.

McKenna linked with Spurs on 08:57 - Apr 30 with 1115 views | Wright1 | This is a wild take. What more loyalty can the bloke show at this point? He turned down one of the best run clubs in the country in Brighton to stay here and get battered pretty much every week. Yes, he was well financially compensated for it because I know that will be the next stick used to beat him - but the club felt that was value for what he brings to the club and he probably feels it is fair compensation for passing up great opportunities and the hit getting relegated was to his very high stock.
