Manning was one to keep and eye out I thought after that season with MK Dons. He's then had a bad patch and done a good job with Bristol city however whenever I have seen Bristol City they have been unbelievably underwhelming and really did scrape into the playoffs. Some really dull games where they came out just on top etc. I really don't see him as someone who can do exceptional things at Norwich and it might be a bit same story for them. He won't do a bad job. He is quite pragmatic and sensible in his approach but I think of it starts average the yocals will get restless quick.
We've long since overtaken Manning as a viable option for us. That's just my opinion. |
I like Manning and wish him well but I can't really argue with any of that. |  |

Indeed re: Norwich, lovely stuff.
I think it'll be a good move for Bristol City with the compensation they'll get. Lots of unrest above him and the fans have never really warmed to him. He's a bit dull, made a bit of an idiot of himself when complaining about the referee who sent off Rob Dickie in the play off semi.

Just been having a lunchtime perusal of the OinkUn (well my fingers smell from gardening, so why the hell not) and they don't seem very keen on Manning. They must be mad. If he was interested in managing a moribund pit of a club like them, they ought to break the Yankee brewing company's piggy bank open to get him there. But I doubt he'd leave Bristol for them anyway - too big a step down. |
