He’s started 30 odd games for us - less than Myles Kenlock. I don’t feel any emotion at all with him moving on but obviously wish him well, and I’m pleased we’ve witnessed a couple of his performances - Spurs, Chelsea and Bournemouth. Much more bothered about Mass, which is obviously the right thing, and Omari, Davis who have been on more of the recent journey. | | | |

Wouldn't it be a little egotistical if he made a big song and dance about the fact that he might be leaving, having only been with us for a season? He's not a legend and I know it's a foregone conclusion that he'll go but the fact is he hasn't yet.
What was he going to do, leave the group and stand alone with arms aloft awaiting a serenading from the whole north stand?
I can't wait for him to leave and see what he'll go on to achieve. The last situation I can remember similar to this was Wickham, hopefully it goes a bit better than that! |  |

I hope he goes on to become England's main striker and has a fantastic career.
He's been really good for us in the brief stint here, nothing to moan about from our side at all. He gives everything on the pitch, still young and learning, so we can't complain about his return this season.
His release clause has been met, he's entitled to speak to Clubs and he'd be foolish not to take up a significant contract at this stage but, moreover, stay in the Prem which will hopefully see him develop further and break into the national team.

For a first season in the Prem, with a struggling team and after his Hull loan - I don't think anyone expected him to deliver as he has.
Yes, he's found it hard to maintain that over the course of the season but that is not surprising at all given age, experience and the wider team situation.
He has a vast number of attributes that mean he stand a very good chance of being a top player. The truth of the matter is, there are not many strikers (English or otherwise) around in his mould. | |

Oddly I’m almost at the point now where I would rather he goes than stays. Clearly a very talented young player and good luck to him, but I don’t think the speculation surrounding his future is particularly healthy and it’s a bit tiresome. We’ll always have it somewhere with someone, but in this care I’d be inclined to take the money, get it done early and move on. I’m not saying any of that is his doing but we need cohesion and some certainty to allow us to plan properly for next season. |  | | |

There were a few boos, but just as many shouting at the few who did.
This post was not mean't to be critical of LD, it just feels a bit of an odd exit if we have just witnessed the future England number 9 play his last game for us.
