It's a childrens TV show, same as Game of Thrones was, even though both are called a drama series, so you need to ask children if they still watch it. From my limited conversations, it's still watched by a lot of children. But from what I understand the regular changing of the person playing Dr Who is resulting in less people watching it. Whereas in the early days of the programme you had the same person playing Dr Who for years and people felt closer to them. [Post edited 1 Jun 11:05]

I bumped into Billie Piper in Guildford Sainsburys during the Chris Evans years, tousled mess at the time. |
Have met Billie Piper twice thru work.
The first time driving her and Evans from a restaurant on Chesham Place to somewhere in Kensington, it was around the time of the early split rumours and intense paparazzi scrutiny. Got a migraine from flashing cameras.
The second time when running our desk at Gatwick, subconscious registered a recognised face in the crowd and she came over to our desk. In my mind she said my name and I suggested we run away together... but she was there to meet her new man; chap named Fox you may have heard of him all over social media.
