I think he means he doesn't like that The Doctor is currently portrayed as a gay black man with an Indian travelling companion.
If he had said "the stories aren't very good" then he would have been correct but he didn't go that route.

I saw a few series when David Tenant was the Doctor. And carried on and off until Karen Gillan left, but that must be about 15 years ago. It was mildly entertaining. I haven’t seen any of the more recent Doctors and couldn’t tell you who they were/are. [Post edited 1 Jun 10:22]

I used to watch it religiously when the newer ones started with Chris Eccleston but stopped when Peter Capaldi started and not watched any since it went all PC, Woke and really pointless.

Yes. Kids still seem to love it, it would be very difficult to make it appealing to kids, parents, grandparents and great grandparents, as 4 generations have watched is as kids now. |  | | |

He's going to be furious when he learns that the show was first producer and director were a woman and a gay Indian fella.
For what it's worth, final episode last night, the current series has a been a step up in quality but it probably needs a few years off and a bit of a rethink right now. | |

As a kid I was scared witless when Jon Pertwee was trapped in a mine with the big wriggly maggots (since found out its a story called "The Green Death"). I didn't pluck up the courage to watch it again until Suzanne Danielle appeared in an alien race battling the Daleks with Tom Baker. I drifted off it soon after Peter Davidson started. I half-watch them now out of curiousity but don't really understand it anymore. I think this 2nd run of Doctors has run out of steam just like the 1st run did in the 80s after 5 doctors. It needs another 10 year break and a re-think. |  | | |
