It is the knock on effect that annoys me. The number of hotel bedrooms available in UK is significantly reduced putting up hotel prices,
I have recently had to make an unscheduled overnight stop due to car problems. One night, without adding parking costs and food at a Premier inn £130.
Lots of rooms at Premier inns midweek are occupied by contractors it is adding to inflationary costs. We all pay more.
The real problem is not dealing with asylum seekers in a speedy way. It is taking far too long to resolve each application for asylum and if it is refused there is a long winded appeal process. |  |

We never signed up to the Dublin Agreement when in the EU.
But, had we done so and remained in the EU, we could take a radically different approach now, and would be able to return those crossing the Channel, which would disincentivise those taking the risks to cross in dangerous boats. | | | |
