Anyone else fed up up with the daily Cajuste transfer saga updates 08:52 - Jul 7 with 1971 views | tetchris | He's gone and not coming back. Isn’t there any transfer rumours etc we can report about as the cajuste thing is getting a bit boring tbh
Anyone else fed up up with the daily Cajuste transfer saga updates on 08:57 - Jul 7 with 1929 views | EssexBloo | I think we all would have wanted one (outfield) signing by now. I see a lot of Premier league teams are back in training this week. Does that sometimes kick the transfer merry go round into action?

World Club Cup has skewed the whole thing.

Not really - moving signings forward is a complex cascade of activity in many clubs, and it's very likely that there are a few players at the World Club tournament that may be switching clubs, and until those move forward, it blocks others moving. Very few signing stands in isolation of what is going on elsewhere.

I’d assume Chelsea will hold a few solutions to the hold up with the amount of players they have hanging around Once this tournament is over I’d suggest there’ll be some proper movement

Yes , why are we bothering to report on a loan player that doesn’t belong to us. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Not sure what you expect to be fair Jens potentially would’ve been a target hence the expected reporting and also considering it’s very slow out there with movement What content would you prefer Phil posted considering as we all know business is slow ? [Post edited 7 Jul 9:50]

I must admit I thought we’d have one or two confirmed by now. However realistically we probably only need 3-4 in so definitely worth waiting to get the right players in. Get 2 big CM signings and a ST, suddenly our squad looks incredible for this level.
Anyone else fed up up with the daily Cajuste transfer saga updates on 09:53 - Jul 7 with 1478 views | Wright1 | I've found the Cajuste love in amongst sections of the fan base a bit strange really. The way some people have been fawning after him like he's the second coming of Xavi is a bit odd in my opinion. He way good last year, no more, no less. He would have been very good at Championship level. He would have been fine again if we are in the PL again next season - but I don't really see him as a game-changing signing. The fact he's ending up at Besiktas and not somewhere higher profile has to raise a few questions, surely? Do other PL clubs also think he's just fine and so haven't made a move? Do they (and even us having seen him up close for a season) have too many concerns about his fitness issues to take the plunge on a permanent?

Oh you'll get used to it. Some people think Broadhead is the new Maradona and Axel was Cafu! I liked Cajuste but if he doesn't come then we move on.

If we'd had 10 other players who were 'fine' at Premier League level, we might not have been so far adrift!!

Anyone else fed up up with the daily Cajuste transfer saga updates on 10:28 - Jul 7 with 1281 views | ArnoldMoorhen | Phil has consistently posted updates about former Town players, for the best part of 30 years. For example, he covered Matt Bloomfield's retirement. Not every independent fan website would have done that for their equivalent player. He offers a very comprehensive service, free of charge. He also is quite good at writing headlines which tells you what the article is about, so, if you don't want to read it, don't click it!

Who's to say we don't put the money we could have spent on him toward someone else "fine" or even better?

I wasnt saying that Cajuste was a 'must sign', I was saying that any players who are 'fine' for the Premier League would be outstanding signings for us.

lol, something to do with Beşiktaş not actually asking Cajuste over. In any case, I think this gets done. Ole Gunnar as his manager, lovely stadium, couple of English players there Oxlade-Chamberlain and Tammy Abraham, probably way more than we can pay weekly - suspect we can do the transfer fee, just not the weekly and Istanbul to boot. Still gutted.

Pffftt Mahzen and Ottoman wound give Istanbul a run for its money on Turkish food…. (Not a very long or particularly quick run, but still….)
