Obviously (OBVIOUSLY) cheating is wrong (if that is what they did), but it feels really unsavoury how it’s all played out so publicly, for all the families involved.
He’s also resigned now too - which feels extreme as well. *edit* resigning makes sense.

He’s representing his company, he’s married, deserves what he’s got. There’s another woman there beaming away so clearly knows what’s happening too - shame on her. Feel incredibly sorry for his wife and kids.

Yeah, as the other poster said above, I had forgotten the conflict - that makes complete sense.
It’s not so much I feel sorry for him directly; but his family and children etc, for it to be played out so publicly. It’s horrible.

Forgetting the cheating which (especially when you have kids) isn’t cool, for someone who run’s a company he’s not very smart. A CEO is a pretty public figure and a concert attended by tens of thousands of people is a pretty public place.
Anyone who’s been to any event especially in America knows that cameras love to find “couples” for kiss cam and all that stuff.
If what I read was real, the end of his statement was also pretty ridiculous.
Considering the size of the company and his former position I’m sure financially he will probably be ok and the board would have probably done a deal with him to part ways.

I think the statement supposedly from him was fake. The company have since released a statement though.

I'm with you, Swailsey. The incident is funny, but the extent to which it has been amplified must be horrific for all involved.
Today there were pictures posted of his wife and kids. That is absolutely disgusting to be honest. Completely innocent in all of this and already must be going through it. Then to have that done.
Imagine being a person posting pics of his family in and trying to make a point about how wrong he is. That behaviour is as bad as what he did and the person posting it should get sacked from whatever they do as well for being a complete moron!!
This whole thing just shows how awful people can be in multiple different ways.
No sympathy for him or his HR chief he was caught cheating with.
It’s bad enough cheating on your partner but technically you could argue he was abusing his power by cheating not only with one his his direct reports, but one who leads the people function in the same organisation.
There’s a personal ethical issue but a much more significant work ethics issue.
That’s why he has to resign.

He has to resign. You can’t have secret relationships amongst members of the executive team of a company. Conflicts of interest all over the place.
As for it being public and going viral … I feel for his wife, but the whole thing is still immensely funny.
He was clearly openly with her in public. It would be a stretch to think that he was unaware of the kisscam thing but even if he hadn't appeared on there the chances of someone who knew them seeing them are high.
Frankly its no one's business but theirs and their families'.
Agreed.
I’m enjoying the memes etc in this short window but I don’t think I know of something to blow up as quickly as this has. It’s one of the most viral images I’ve ever known.
And fine, it’s awful and fully agree with all the concerns for wife and kids, but this is the sort of thing that would make someone top themselves. Of course people need their comeuppance but this worldwide scrutiny must be horrendous and I do think about people’s mental health in this modern day media blowups.

The prevalance of infidielity in society is significant. They dont deserve a far bigger consequence than the huge number of others who do it.
The families and children will not be able to avoid it. Ever.

What if he has not cheated ? Many couples have different dynamics to their relationships these days, it’s not hard to miss it’s all over tv and social media. Yes it’s not ideal it ended up blowing up like this and no matter what the agreement between consenting adults the children need to be protected. But maybe just maybe she was aware, I mean if the office all knew of it then it would make more sense.

This is a good point. Unlikely, but far from impossible.
A significant amount of relationships are not what most would call "normal". One being that, one or both parties can have a bit of "fun" on the side, with the other's blessing, or even encouragement.
Society as it is, in that scenario, if you were caught with another partner, you would be better off saying that you were caught having an affair, rather than your Mrs knew about it and you had her blessing.
