Sorry homer completely disagree, throwing toys out of pram because we aren't just letting him leave. End of day we agreed to his terms when it came to relegation release. Those terms weren't met. That's on Brentford.

There is 'no' suggestion he thrown his toys out of the pram Frimmers.

I suspect there is an offer on the table and he's mulling it over - pretty standard stuff.

I think 'downing' tools is reading an awful lot into this.

He told KM he's not in a place to play football. What he's paid to do. That's downing tools.

Well, as I suspected a week or so ago. There's an offer on the table for him.

For sure, but I am not sure there is much of a decision for him to make. It has been made quite clear through his representatives that he is quite keen to clear off of the club accept a bid.

Until then the only decision he has to make is whether to act like a professional, or not.

Considering KM advised that hutch told him he wasn't in the right place to play then yeah I take that as hutch told him . Imo KM wouldn't have had an issue saying " i felt hutch wasn't in the right place" if KM felt it

As I’ve been saying for many months very surprised anyone genuinely thought he’d be playing championship football next season.

Absolutely no loyalty in football anymore.

A big shame.

I mean, he’s got history of no loyalty already. Jumped from Arsenal to Chelsea at the first opportunity, sacked off Jamaica for England U21’s and now dropping tools for us.

Let him train and play with the U21’s until someone stumps up £40M.

Looking at it objectively I can’t say I blame him. Premier League, moving back to London, presumably a much higher salary and a signing on bonus that will make him
financially secure.

He’s a professional. He moved here to progress his career. He never gave me the impression that he loved the club. I’m sure he’s enjoyed his time here and will look back on it warmly but it was always a stepping stone for him, particularly after we were relegated. Yes the £35m release clause has passed but there is the letter of the contract and the spirit of it.

He’s a young, ambitious lad who did well for us and in turn we were good for him. The club will make a health profit, he’ll benefit from the move and so both parties win. Some of the comments on the news story aren’t right in my opinion - “snowflake” etc. He’s a 21 year old talented English footballer and I really hope he goes on to fulfill his potential. Thanks for the memories Omari.

Agreed, and I’m never impressed when I hear this sort of thing. He’s paid by us and in should be playing.

BUT … I suspect it’s a lot to do with his agent in his ear, encouraging to make sure he doesn’t get injured be cause he’s doing his best to get him a move to the prem or a better deal at Town.

I’ve got nothing against Omari, he’s had a good couple of years and the figures being spoken about are a good return for us.

But right now, our squad is no better than last seasons and we kick off in 6 days with 2 new signings, one of which who looks like they’ll start the season as a back up centre back.

Last season's squad would have walked the Championship though. We are short in a couple of areas and are evidently working to reinforce in those areas but we're in a strong position.

Not really.

Young lad, he's done us proud - quite possibly a tough decision to make for him now, so fair enough.

Done us proud......? Wow. Way OTT. He's been here 2 seasons, 1 as our own player.

Did he not think last season when he signed we might go down.

Unfortunately his clause was not activated. Now he's free to whatever we want.

Not sure why players act like this. It doesn't feel like we won't let him move, just we want ghe right deal which doesn't seem ridiculous.

Won’t be surprised but there’s ways of going about it isn’t there.

I don’t think he should leave what he has here for Brentford though, to be honest.

We’ve given him his ‘big break’ and he didn’t exactly set the world alight last season (unlike Delap) so just feel he should stay here, have a brilliant season in the Championship and can go again with us in the Premier League or go next summer and have his pick of the clubs.

Again, respect your view Sitters. However, I see it differently. This is modern football - he has the option to play Prem football again, I'm sorry but I would be very, very surprised if any of us in his situation wouldn't take that opportunity. He would be utterly foolish not to - blue tinted specs on as well.

Then, tonights match - either way, circa £40m transfer on the line, even if he was happy to play - I doubt very much KM would have played him and risked injury and scuppering the deal.

I'll be very sad to see him go, he is a player that is genuinely work the 'entry fee' and will be very hard to replace.

However, I am neither saddened or upset about how this is panning out and I won't let it sour his time here.

We should do what Leeds did when Gnoto went on strike two seasons ago, and basically say tough we're not selling you.
Gnoto quickly realised it was either playing in the first team or just training on his own, and came off strike.

I appreciate Hutchinson wants to play in the PL but he signed a contract and until another club pays what we want he needs to grow up and get those boots on and play. He should realise Brentford had a chance to buy him at £35m, but forked around and didnt match the release terms. Assuming Brentford are now playing the game of leaking news about another potential offer in the hope Hutchinson goes on strike to force a move at £35m

Unsure then why he's mentally not in the right place to play. Either he's rejected them and wants to play for town. Or he's joining them and he's in a happy place and KM would have just said the club most likely will announce something soon. Like he's done in the past.

Point of order (edit - ah, I think you were arguing the same lol. I leave my reply as it sums up my views).

It’s Hutch throwing his toys out of his pram by refusing to play. A shame, but unfortunately it’s become normal. He obviously thinks he’s better than us. In his defence: he’s right. In our defence: it wouldn’t hurt him to give his all to the club and team mates that have helped him get to the point where he can get another PL gig.

The sad thing is that it’s Brentford. If he was off to Liverpool he’d probably get a lot more respect than he’s going to get.

Assume Brentford are waiting on Wissa to stop sulking and that will in turn allow Omari to get his move (to a nothing club that will never achieve anything of note) and stop his sulking. Modern football, eh?

I'd say it took him about half a season to realise he had to pass it and adapt to our system. Not a massive criticism as he needed to. However to "do us proud" I think he needs to be here longer and do more for us. Just my.opinion so I'll agree to differ.

So really had a very good half a season in the championship and did OK in the Premier league.

No team took up his £35m clause which i thought was a bit odd tbh...but it seems not many team are sniffing around at the moment. Some teams might get "desperate" towards the end of the window.

Are we going to let him sulk the whole of August?
