This is the thing though, we really don't know where negotiations might be, we don't know what conversations have been had, what offer might have been accepted and not yet reported, and until we do it's all assumption and conjecture and accusations of downing tools, throwing toys out of a pram, and pure guesswork and premature til things get clearer.

Every single man and their dog knew about the first bid, those leaks don't get suddenly plugged. In addition, the media aids Brentford in this situation in further unsettling the club/ player.

If there had been a second bid as of Friday when he choose not to travel, we would all know about it.

All this 'preparing a new bid' as we've seen with Wissa/ Isak is not about anything other than further unsettling the player.

Re your first para - if he’s not already financially secure from what he’s been paid for the last two seasons, he’s either got the wrong financial advisors, none, or zero sense!

Omari has earnt approx 104 x the average annual wage over the last two seasons with us
I don't subscribe to the financially secure guff sorry

sorry ive replied to the wrong part of this post but you get my drift - he won't be shopping in Aldi if he ends up staying here

Have no problem with Omari wanting to continue his development at the best level he can, first and foremost. However, I never like the idea of any player forcing moves/refusing to play, doesn’t sit right with me. But I also see the viewpoint from both the club and player to not risk injury if a big money move is close on the horizon, I remember Szmodics being in the same situation last year.

Wrap it up early next week, £40m is ridiculous money for him I still believe that, has so much development still to learn in his game, especially at PL level - but such is the crazy numbers we see in the market these days.

It's not just the amount that has been bid but clauses, payment terms and loads of stuff we never hear about. We didn't get information on Delap's relegation clause til 9 months after he signed, for Omari it was over 12 months. We may or may not have been happy with the fee but negotiations aren't only going to be centred on a difference of a few million.

Not really.

Young lad, he's done us proud - quite possibly a tough decision to make for him now, so fair enough.

In what way has he done us proud ?

We have done him VERY proud. He’ll be the one laughing with the multimillion salary. We have taken him from zero to hero. He’s very average to be honest.

If we get £37.5 million for him i would bite their arm off

He is not that good! £37.5m is a lot of money…..

Absolutely !

£37.5m for that is an absolute piss take !

In fact it’s hilarious !

Decent as a championship player. Had what? 5 decent prem games ? Good riddance.

You know and I know that if the clubs were actively discussing a deal that was even remotely close, KM would not have used the language that he used today ... “Omari, with the speculation around his future at the moment, he didn’t feel mentally in the right place to come for the game".

He has been consistently honest with us as a fanbase and he certainly would not single out one of his players like that in a way that he knows will be negatively perceived if the club had anything to do with him not being apart of it.

“Primadonna” - says the huge attention seeker.

If he was that bang average, you wouldn’t be this upset - or see it as such a good opportunity to troll.

This.

We all know McKenna is both shrewd and intelligent. He phrased the response in this way because he wants it known Hutchinson made the call. Not a joint decision - Hutchinson alone. "Omari didn't feel mentally in the right place to come for the game".
