I would hope to keep him, but if he wants to play most weeks, then he needs to move. O'Shea and Greaves are going to play the majority if not all the games this season, so sadly I can see him wanting to move on. I think nothing less than £10M is fair. |  |

Woolfy will be 27 before the end of this year and is good enough to be a starter in this division. If he wants to move, you can't really blame him. He really should be a regular somewhere by now.
I know it's a squad game and everything but it's harder as a defender as you don't tend to get the same level of rotation in the back four. |  |

Difficult one really, he's not young young anymore, 27 in a couple of months. Pure profit from a PSR point of view and firmly behind O'Shea, which is arguably / most unfortunate competition in the squad. Captain, PL quality defender, least rotated outfield position in the side. From his point of view I could see why he might want to go.
Change for change sake selling him now though, he's excellent cover and still got 2 years on his deal. |  | | |

If he wants first team football, then best we let him have it. Barring injury, he has FA Cup games and the odd mid week away game to look forward to here. Woolfy has more experience than Greaves when we signed him for £15M+. | |

The only way I see him having a future with us is maybe going on loan at the end of this window or in January, coming back for the PL campaign next season and us somehow developing a long term back three formation, where he'd fit in nicely. It's a scenario I'd love to see. Assuming we don't suddenly change formation halfway through this year.
O'Shea is there for the foreseeable unless injured. If he leaves, we'll replace him with a similar standard defender. Just don't think Wolfy is seen as blood and thunder enough as a CB, certainly in a two.
I doubt he wants to move, laid back Ipswich boy etc, but I imagine he'll reluctantly come to the conclusion he needs to play. |  |

He’s given the club everything, from the worst period in our history to the best in the last 20 years and been professional throughout despite Premier League interest while we were rotting in League 1. He has a legitimate grievance and has asked to leave. Why would we stand in his way? No one’s saying let him go for nothing but we owe him the chance to explore his options, especially when we are being linked with players in his position!! | | | |
