Personally think it might be more to do with release clauses and sell-on fees. We'd be taking quite a risk with him at the fee that has been suggested and if he does have a break out year we don't want to lose him next summer with a relatively low profit that we have to share a large proportion of with his current team.
Hopefully we can find a solution that works for everyone. | |

Must say I know nothing about Danish football but av attendance 6000 for Nordsjaelland same as Walsall or Northampton but sold 4 players for between 15m-25 in the last two years ! | |

The lad would jump at the chance of playing in the Championship I sure,

We have Mcateer, Ogbene, Burns who are specialists in the position plus Clark, Philogene and even Ben Johnson that can play there. I'd be amazed if we spend another £15 mil for that area of the pitch unless McKenna sees him as a fit to change him back to CF which seems and even bigger risk. | |

Not sure. there are signs it's an incoming transfer - though we all now know not to expect anything.
He's under 21, so will not have to fit into squad numbers, clearly has raw talent, and i presume fits the sell-on-for-profit-model and could be woo'd by McK's training. Also, I think of an age that the position he plays now may not be his career position - I suspect McK has ideas for him in the centre or even as 9 as he grows, but a potential safe gamble for the squad and future if not fitting a big hole like some transfers we need. |  | | |
