Speaking in my capacity as twtd antisemite I think it's fair to say the vast majority of those protesting outside hotels are racists. So what do you believe the answer is to their concerns?
I believe I made my point very clear in a couple of the above posts. The ‘grown ups’ need to find a better solution. It’s not for me to offer the suggestion as I’m not in a position to make any changes to the current workings
And maybe the vast majority are, that’s their problem isn’t it
The road sign suggests that's somewhere in deepest, darkest Norfolk - which only goes some of the way to explain the intellect, deportment, lack of basic English skills, and physiology of the pack of genetically light tvvats who descended upon that interview determined to share their research.
Thats why you’d like to think the grown ups will have the appropriate discussions to sort the issue out.
It’s not racist to have these concerns, it’s utter rubbish and lazy for people to brand others that. And honestly, it doesn’t work as a deterrent anymore. That word is thrown around so much that it’s lost its ‘wow’ factor. Years ago you’d be gutted to be called that.
Lost its wow factor or racism has been normalised
Either way xenophobia is probably more appropriate of a label in many of these cases

It would be nice if someone could articulate what these concerns are. So far all we’ve got from this latest round of tiny protests is that all refugees should be hounded because they are paedos, when it’s obviously true they are not.
You’re spot on that our supposed government (local and national levels) should be engaging in more constructive ways to tackle what’s going on. That means have an efficient asylum process and addressing the disinformation that’s flying around. Sadly, they see unwilling/unable to do either.
Meanwhile Rome burns. Asylum is such a tiny issue compared to many more faced by us, both in terms of impact on us as a society and cost.

Indeed. With everything going on in the world, and global warming, how can these small boat migrants be headline news, on a daily basis? I suppose it deflects attention from the real reason ordinary people are struggling. Sigh.
Problem is - as we see on here played out every day, anyone speaking about their concerns about it is shouted down as a racist moron by a certain bunch. There are many people who have concerns but don't go beating people up outside hotels.
My advice would be to not engage with anyone who calls you a racist moron
I honestly think you'll find it happens more in your head than in reality. And whilst I'm sure there will be examples, there are plenty of people here who will reply in a more open and engaging way.
Or they'll at least try to before they are called a "leftie" or "woke"
“… shouted down as a racist moron by a certain bunch...”
You are still posting, so you haven’t been shouted down.
He didn’t call you a racist moron, he called you “ a bit fekkin stoopid.”
And since you one of the people who have hook, line and sinker repeated the Farage mantra “… it’s not racist to be concerned about immigration”
Nobody was called racist, it is one of his cute phrasing to get people on his side.
That video, was a bunch of racists, attacking someone.
There has already been evidence posted about some of the founders of these campaigns that has demonstrated criminality and racism.
So yeah, “a bit fekkin stoopid” is not an unreasonable assessment on some of your postings.
it is not racist to be concerned about immigration. I don't even follow Nigel Farage or read any of his utterings. My concerns come from what I read in the MSM. Such as BBC, etc. I dont read right wing news outlets such as Daily Mail, Sun etc.
If that makes me "a bit fekkin stoopid" then blame the BBC! I suspect the virtue signallers on here mostly read left wing outlets though.

^^^ This reply is a good example of someone willing to discuss in a grown up way

"Grown up debate" just seems to be code for let people say untruths unopposed. What is needed is some honesty by politicians who are too scared of their own shadow. Talking tough and adopting Reform rhetoric is very dangerous when you know full well it isn't true / achievable / desirable / moral.
Also at which point in the last 20 years has immigration not dominated the national conversation in this country? There is never enough control for about 20% of the population .

What are your concerns? Also, I don't think calling people lefty's or accusing people of virtue signalling is helpful either.

Gawd, it makes you wonder how the next 20 will look, with climate change taking ever more affect and a generally uglier world coming.
I just hope all these bods remember that one day, it might be us or our descendants running to other countries for our lives or livelihoods.
Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

Jeez you are being fekkin stoopid.
It is not childish to be concerned about the economy.
No one has ever said that. It is a pointless phrase. On the BBC, when talking about the economy a politician was never shouted down for being “childish” because they wanted to talk about the economy.
Back in the day, Nige often said “it is not racist to blah…”. But nobody had called him a racist at that point.
You are parroting a political phrase originated by Nige.
The people that have been called racists, are people that have generally said and done racist things.
Assuming all migrants are peados and criminals. Racist. Saying you wouldn’t like to live next to Romanians. Racist. Wanting immigration to be controlled whilst ensuring we provide combined assistance to refugees. Not racist.
Parroting lines from a racist, even second hand filtered through the BBC. Yes, that does make you a bit fekkin stoopid.
What I don't understand about this thread is how it's somehow become a place to discuss very real concerns or left or right. There are dozens of threads sharing those views. This thread should be nothing more than every contributor condeming the disgusting behaviour of those featured in that appalling video. There is no left or right debate here. This is hate. Pure and simple. And it's disgusting.

100% this.
I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun.
I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

That's a very good point. If the AMOC does rapidly shut down we could be looking at Moscow winter conditions across the UK, and have an angry and unpredictable North Atlantic right on top of us with no intervening land mass to ameliorate conditions.
I can't see Little Tommy Yaxley in his tight T shirt over his little titties being able to cope with that! We'll be running to Romania or Afghanistan as climate refugees, and hoping our kindness now is (not) reflected back to us then.
Mind you, capitalism will have collapsed pretty sharpish by then / next Tuesday, so we'll be able to fall back on our native skills like flag painting and... um..., oh!
