Looks like all tickets for Norwich game have now gone apart from one or two. Not making Season Ticket Members, Season Ticket Holders or anywhere near General Sale.

Shock news as season ticket holders and club members will be at the game, but the occasional fans who only come out for these sort of occasions will not.

Poll: Right, we’ve all slept on it. Let’s settle this?

Probably not but some people who were hoping to get a ticket and don't spend their entire day on here may have been interested I suppose....

There are loads of hospitality tickets left... if you feel like spending a couple of hundred quid on a football ticket :s

I am not entirely sure what your point is.

Do you think there is some fairer system?

I can't usually get a ticket but managed to get tickets for this despite missing out in the ballot.

If you think season ticket holders who are members should be able to access this process, surely whoever they are buying the ticket for could become a member themselves and get that ticket through the process. The same is true of any other casual fans.

My point was letting other people know the state of play for tickets - thats it. Don't think that there is a fairer system. I have my tickets with my people, so frankly I'm okay......

Next to the to 'add to basket' button on the tickets website.

Never bought any, but think you maybe have to buy a certain number together - not sure if you can just buy one.

Mmm, just clicked through and it works for me. Unless you're a season ticket holder and they go through the same priority levels as the other ticksts? Maybe phone the ticket office. Looks like there are a few £216 in the Hall of Fame that you can buy as singles, but the rest are 8+ groups or more expensive.

i think if i recall correctly Season ticket holders used to buy alot of tickets as there wasn't a restriction and it was hard to get tickets on general sale for the big games.

I might be wrong on that, so happy to be corrected.

There is no fair system that i can think of.

It will be my boys 1st derby as we couldn't get tickets in the Championship season as we didn't create log ins for us to assign tickets to when my brother used to purchase tickets and we went to 12 plus games in the league 1 promotion season. So looking forward to him seeing it for the 1st time.

I was in the queue at the shop this morning and got my tickets for family who are members no problem. I did raise an issue which got criticism and praise at the same time though. In that when ticket dates or times are advertised the club would appear to give little or no time before the tickets go on sale. For example I got an email for the Charlton game at 1.05pm when the ballot opened an hour before. Now for 10am ticket sales some people need to organise time off work to get to the shop for example. That never seems to happen, therefore it may give the illusion that it's deliberately done to catch people out.

Why would anyone take time off work to go queue at the shop, when you can queue virtually on the website?

For the ballots you typically have 4 days to get your ballot request in, so there is no time pressure to be ready as soon as the window is open.

For sales windows opening, email reminders go out before the window opens. For example, with Norwich tickets I saw emails from the club on August 29th and yesterday. When you get the first notification, you just need to put a reminder in your calendar.

I guess it depends on how many tickets are kept at the shop, and whether you have a better chance of getting a ticket?

Not sure what the issue is? Noting that the ballot is different to the purchasing of tickets though.

For a ballot being notified at 1pm on the Friday ahead of a closing date at 5pm on the Monday gives you 76 hours to get a ballot nomination in. It makes no difference in a ballot whether you put your order in on 10:00 Friday or 16:59 Monday . . .

At this point you are notified that the successful members will be notified on the Weds able to purchase their tickets from 10am on the following Friday, with the purchase window open through to following Monday morning. That's giving you a weeks notice *if* you are successful of when you will be able to purchase.

For the ticket itself if you are unsuccessful, you are then aware that the window opens on the following Monday, so that is over a week's notice from the point you are notified of the ballot.

I am not aware of a situation where people are notified of a ticket sale (sale - NOT ballot) window without the minimum of a weeks notice.

Same system, just uses the back end to process . . . should not make any difference once you are through the queue either physical or virtual.

I guess the more pertinent question, is how many queue at the shop, as if it is under 100, they probably will all get a ticket.

Pretty predictable. They could potentially have done more tickets by ballot or put in an extra window for people who had already bought a ticket for home match or 2. Beyond that I don't think it's reasonable for ST holders to get any extra tickets or for it to go to general sale when it's already going to be the most oversubscribed home game for members.

I can’t believe a thread about football tickets on here has seen such arsehole replies.

The bloke is literally just posting what he’s noticed, with no hidden message. And he’s getting called out.
