Egeli up front Friday? 12:54 - Sep 10 with 2296 views | hunty21 | Played there for U21 and succeeded up front would he be better suited there or right wing for us?

Engli up front Friday? on 13:07 - Sep 10 with 2199 views | Metal_Hacker | He only played last night and can’t see him starting Friday night combined with not a lot of time , if any , “on the grass” with his new team mates Can see him coming on off the bench 100% for hopefully more than a 10 min cameo though

Engli up front Friday? on 13:09 - Sep 10 with 2189 views | SuperKieranMcKenna | Be very surprised if he’s not on the bench to start with (given how little time he’s had with us). We have Azon to replace Hirst up front front he bench so expect Sindre Walle to come on the right. Hopefully Hirst can regain some form - this is a huge opportunity for him now Delap has gone. Azon looks a good fit for this league so hopefully will keep Hirst’s mind focussed!

And from Kieran saying we'll habe to be patient with him. I don't see him starting for a while, certainly not in the centre.
Engli up front Friday? on 13:23 - Sep 10 with 2004 views | Basuco | I would be surprised if we see him Friday, even off the bench, he has spent little or no time with the rest of the team and played 80 minutes on Tuesday night. But at 19 that may not be a problem for him.

There is a lot being made of GH's dramatic loss of form - as ever I think this is somewhat exaggerated. There is no question he should have buried the headed chance against Derby, but I have just rewatched the first half of that game, and when we were going well, he was doing a pretty decent job, and in the second half on another day he wins and scores that penalty. I also agree that Azon was good when he came on, but if the attacking bods behind him are beginning to stick stuff together, I think GH will soon return to being one of our earlier names on the team sheet.

Boo Ashton out, another terrible signing. Joking aside, I really hope the "less sensible" part of the fanbase give this kid time. He looks a real talent, but to expect a 19 year old from a foreign country to instantly tear it up in the Championship is just totally unrealistic.

Hes young and recovers quickly if you have that argument then all the Irish players should not play Friday? [Post edited 10 Sep 13:37]

Indeed, it'll be a big step up for him. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I’m quite prepared to hang my hat on him being the signing of the summer … not sure people realise what quite the talent we have picked up.

Engli up front Friday? on 13:50 - Sep 10 with 1665 views | monty_radio | While I get the "he's young, he's not experienced here" stuff, and while I know it's easy to look good against lowly opposition(tell that to those who watched England v Andorra) his highlights are very, very good. Haven't seen enough of Azon or Akpom, who seem to be different players, but I feel that Egeli's combination of skills look like something we don't have in one individual. I'd like to see him given a meaningful 30 minutes pretty soon.

Certainly seems to have a lot of potential. Think we'll see him given his chance from the bench here and there initially and if he makes an impression then will be given starts from there.
Engli up front Friday? on 14:02 - Sep 10 with 1518 views | LeightonBuzzardBlue | I have a feeling it's Azón we'll be seeing lead the line on Friday. Egeli - if he plays at all - will come off the bench for 15 / 20 mins at RW I reckon.

If he's good enough, he's old enough? I can honestly say I know nothing about him. Can't even find much by way of stats etc. Obviously excited as you don't spend that kind of money unless you're at least a bit confident of an impact! Anyway.... Who knows who our 10 is going to be Friday? If Szmodics is injured, is Nunez the 10? Or is that Akpom who I can't imagine is here to just make up numbers. If Szmodics is unavailable or not being risked, Egeli has a big chance of at least being on the subs bench.

For me it’s not his lack of goals (and was deffo a pen, the booking was farcical). More that nothing was coming off for him. Both in the Derby game and others Hirst’s first touch was lacking, as wel as arguably some of his decision making. Big fan of GH but he’s looked a bit off it to me.

I don't disagree... BUT on the other hand can a Championship club really afford to spend what we have on a player like him and not get him in the team pretty quickly? I'd expect him to be sub for next couple of weeks but be starting by the end of the next stint

His goal against Viborg was taken from a difficult angle. But a shot from the bench might be asking too much. If he's to be the championship's most expensive sub, please let it be before the last few minutes.
Engli up front Friday? on 14:51 - Sep 10 with 1129 views | Garv | Surprised people don't think we're going to see much of him. He's fit, in form and has played a full pre-season. MacAteer probably has the shirt at the moment but beyond that it's an out of form Philogene or Ben Johnson for that slot. Reckon he'll get a few minutes at least.

Maybe, and Kieran will try to take the pressure of the big fee off him. If he settles and makes an impression when he comes on, then I'm sure he will get starts relatively early. But he wasn't a signing just for this season but beyond that, I think.

Yup, if he’s as good as is being suggested then he’ll be in the starting 11 in no time.

Furlong for Young and Clarke for Philogene is my guess. Nunez and Egeli debuts when we’re 3-0 up.

Not sure on that, it took a while before we saw Hutchinson on that right hand side from the start weekly, it took an injury to Burns for it to happen, it maybe the same with Mcateer I just hope we don't stunt his development because we're overloaded with forward options philogene clarke szmodics akpom mcateer burns Some big money signings within that group, some new lads brought in you'd also imagine expecting game time I guess it really depends on what sort of player KM thinks he wants to try and develop him as
