Not going to plan for them is it.
Some very good players, good players need to be a great team however.
I’m quite glad the reality of the next step up is providing a real challenge and it’s not splashing the cash all the way to the Premier League.

change of manager seems the obvious move having spent all that money; they've had no qualms about sentimentality with Mullins and other exits

I think we need to be a touch careful here though.

Their trajectory isn't a million miles away from ours.

Where you are right and I think the big difference lies is that KM and his team (along with Ashton) have set a deeper culture and identity to the club, one that you can see runs through everything to do with the Club and ultimately plays out on the pitch. We have been a team greater than the sum of our parts and I suspect we are starting to see that again with our new group of players.

I don't think Wrexham have that.

I think if you go into a new division with a team good enough to compete and add the odd player it’s better than throwing loads of new players and building a new team. The last three seasons for us have demonstrated that.

However, players will settle, Wrexham will be fine and Birmingham will compete for top six as a minimum in my view. Oh, and hopefully the mob up the road will be in the bottom three.

It’s very early days and I never think a season begins properly until October, though you can write yourself out of anything bar mid table max if you start as Sheffield U have.

Wasn't going well for us until yesterday and we still have a lot to do like them.

Their situation is oddly similar to us albeit they had come up. They are having to have a big rebuild and it will take time for them but I see them being comfortable in staying up but too soon for a promotion challenge.

Good! They are nauseating as a team with all the media hype - the same as brum. Because we did it they automatically think they can and completely underestimated the championship. I'd be more than happy to see them drop back down - along with Wednesday and the scum

Think as others have implied, their manager is the weak link and he’ll go relatively soon and get replaced by a ‘name’

I actually think a few seasons in the Championship will prepare them better for the PL, aka Brentford.

Our problem was we went up too quickly. Not that I'm complaining about promotion to the PL.

Agree on the manager point but I don't think their squad is [that] good honestly. Looks a respectable Championship side to me.

We’re not like them. One big difference.

We didn’t do a poxy, self-loving documentary, and our owners leave the football people to take the spotlight.

Im cooking for US clients in Croatia and spent 15 mins talking about Wrexham amd how everyone in the US loves them. Told him we'll get promoted and they'll be lucky to get mid table

I always suspected they would sack Parkinson this season and bring in someone higher profile

They need a character really, particularly for that documentary

They're not the big boys any more but they will gradually adapt

There's a fairly old core in that squad which they will slowly have to trade out, it's not a very sustainable model if the bubble bursts

You know apart from the fact they have none of the footballing recruiting acumen of Brentford.

They should go for a Frankie Dettori and Gino D'Acampo dream team.

Passion, humour, sporting success and dietary know-how!

And lots of Ted Lasso "fish out of water" moments as they navigate North Wales, maybe in a Red and White electric VW camper van.

That's how this works, isn't it?

10-12 games at least, mid/end October. As of now a lot depends on who you've played.

Bristol City are second, but their 5 games have been against teams in the bottom 7, with a 6th, Oxford next weekend. Good for confidence maybe, but doubt they have been the 2nd best team.
