Have had a bit of think about this this morning and having had a silly number of abuse reports and subsequent PMs this morning, as well as having to deal with another issue with a banned user which if I told you the full story you wouldn't believe and is in the hands of lawyers, it's got to the point where I really don't have the patience, inclination or time to give those who continue to cause issues on here. I've told one returning user he's banned after repeating the same sort of thing that got him banned before and I don't think there can be any complaints. The same will happen to those who continue to waste our time. |  | | |  |

I always feel a bit uneasy about making suggestions, it’s like telling a landlord who should be barred from his pub and won’t start now.
What I would say is you must have the patience of a saint. There are a number of absolute bell ends on here who could start an argument in an empty room, and their sole purpose seems to be to antagonise and drag up old arguments.

Having used this site since 1997 I've seen plenty of ups and downs but the last couple of years have been grim. This is a football forum, if someone says something which offends maybe occasionally don't feed into that. Step away from here if you want to be a twit. The tedious in fighting is also effing infuriating. There's more that unites us than divides us, the club for starters. I genuinely feel for Phil who has to waste time explaining himself repeatedly. That's an awful idea.
Why should people be allowed to post horrible views regardless of the area it's posted in?
We should aim to be better, push back and challenge awful and non-evidence based views, not looking to accommodate them in an echo chamber.

Most get invited back even if they’re chucked out. It’s only the ones who go through the cupboards and rob the jewellery that deservedly lose their place in his house.

It’s like the coked up pisshead at my aforementioned hypothetical party telling everyone who’s stood waiting for a sniff that he’s a ‘proper Brit, stop the boats’ etc. everyone there stands and listens and all collectively think ‘you sir, are a kn0b’. No need to spend two hours debating him.

Surely, though, it's Phil's decision who he invites back and if he feels texters has crossed the line on his house party rules, then it shouldn't be up to others to call him out on it? [Post edited 21 Sep 21:40]
