I actually thought Norwich and Manning were winning the tactical… 14:45 - Oct 5 with 2094 views | unstableblue | And technical battle today for large swathes of the game. Their press was really upsetting OShea and Furlong. They were able to isolate Cajuste and Matusiwa. And they carried a bit of threat, especially at corners. But that press was unsustainable and as soon as they faded… Matusiwa then just dominated. And after the third… and with our subs… we went to another level [Post edited 5 Oct 15:29]

I actually thought Norwich and Manning were winning the tactical… on 14:47 - Oct 5 with 1723 views | belgablue | I thought the same - their press seemed quite well coordinated but that was the best thing they had. Thought they were pretty poor when they got the ball in our half.

I actually thought Norwich and Manning were winning the tactical… on 14:49 - Oct 5 with 1658 views | burnbudgiesburn | Yes, I thought their game plan / tactics were pretty solid today - feels much better to overcome them with them having played ok than if they turned up and stank the place out.
I actually thought Norwich and Manning were winning the tactical… on 14:52 - Oct 5 with 1598 views | bluesym | They worked hard first half, but we were incredibly sloppy in possession all over the pitch. Could and should have ended up 5 or 6 to us.

I actually thought Norwich and Manning were winning the tactical… on 14:56 - Oct 5 with 1518 views | Bramidan | I thought we made them look good. O Shea needs to learn when not to try and play out from the back! They seemed to win most of the second balls. Our defence at corners and long throws leave a lot to be desired. Hate to say it but sometimes Canuste in the midfield gets over powered. I feel a bit too critical when we won 3 1 but I was worried until we got the third.
I actually thought Norwich and Manning were winning the tactical… on 14:57 - Oct 5 with 1484 views | NthQldITFC | I don't think that they won the tactical battle as such, it's just that we decided to persist with our way of playing and ignore them, because we knew that ultimately we were much better than them. That paid off.

I actually thought Norwich and Manning were winning the tactical… on 14:59 - Oct 5 with 1451 views | seblue78 | Up until our 3rd thought they were outplaying us. Best team I’ve seen at PR this season, certainly. Just pretty toothless in the final third. They certainly pressed well and we looked out of ideas with their press. I think sacking Manning would be mistake personally but I suspect he’s a goner. We’ve still a lot of room for improvement but today’s not the day to focus on that 💪🏼🙌🏻
I actually thought Norwich and Manning were winning the tactical… on 15:04 - Oct 5 with 1357 views | _clive_baker_ | Wouldn’t go that far. Not sure we got enough from midfield first half, a few talking of ‘overplaying’ at the back but painfully short of our balls at times and when Cajuste did get it he invariably lost it in dangerous areas. Matusiwa played well, Davis as well. Kipre solid. Hirst made some really good runs as he often does but wasn’t clinical enough to take the chances. On balance a deserved win against a limp looking Norwich side. What a lovely Sunday, uppa Town.

First half was even at times, but thought we looked far superior in the second half. Should have scored at least a couple more, but overall 3-1 a thoroughly deserved win.

He got over powered because they surrounded him and we often passed the ball to him when he had nowhere to go with it!

We broke the hoodoo but scum showed just enough fight and tactical aptitude to hopefully keep Manning and Knapper there a little while longer!!

They were dreadful- the worst side from them down here since 2009. They offered absolutely nothing bar a few corners and their right back getting forward a few times. Our own ineffectiveness limited us in the first half.
I actually thought Norwich and Manning were winning the tactical… on 15:15 - Oct 5 with 1226 views | FrimleyBlue | I think how they set up shocked us. But I think rather than react and change our plans we kept at it know eventually they'd get tired and start leaving gaps. You only press so much for so long. I felt oshea was incredibly nervous today. He looked like being skipper in a Derby had caused many sleepless nights... maybe it did..he's human. I like oshea and a big fan. Haven't seen him look so unsure as today tho. [Post edited 5 Oct 15:16]

Yeah, they seemed to be missing creativity from the midfield.

I actually thought Norwich and Manning were winning the tactical… on 15:35 - Oct 5 with 1045 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | I thought we’d have full control in the middle of the park, wasn’t the case. Would have been interesting if their half chance at 1-1 went in. He’ll but gutted as they didn’t lie down but also slightly contributed to their own downfall, like with our second. Seen a few Norwich tweets in the emotion of it saying how terrible they were, I didn’t think so at all tbh, they’re just deluded and trying to make themselves feel better, that it was more about them than us. Really our quality and depth shone through at the end. [Post edited 5 Oct 15:36]

Yes I think our players were a bit overwhelmed by the occasion and were not sharp enough, error strewn and as you say sloppy If we’d been sharper from the off, the crowd would have fired earlier, and we could have blown them away. I think McKenna will think the same… and in a way we may come out stronger against Boro

"Up until our 3rd thought they were outplaying us. Best team I’ve seen at PR this season". Fair play if that's your genuinely held opinion but I think you'll struggle to find anyone - even Norwich fans - who agrees with that. I thought they worked hard but were largely dross and on another day they might have lost by 3 or 4 rather than the 2 they got done by.

No real threat or quality did they, deflection or a set piece was their only hope but we’ve seen that movie before. A couple of their big money signings look rubbish. Could have been more by the end.

I actually thought Norwich and Manning were winning the tactical… on 15:43 - Oct 5 with 916 views | Blue_Heath | That passing out from the back in first half was ridiculous, it wasn't working yet they kept doing it. Equally every time a ball went long we had a chance to create something.

They were comfortably better than Portsmouth and Sheff U. I missed Southampton so can’t judge that. Tactically they were doing a bit of a job on us at times I thought. But they had very little upfront thankfully. In the end it was comfortable but from half time to our third I didn’t think it made particularly easy viewing.

Yeah, their goal only went in because of a deflection and other than that they had a couple of decent-ish chances. I'd say they are alongside Pompey as the poorest we've played at PR, personally. I know we smashed the Blades but at least they looked like they could play football.
