I have to confess, I’ve tended to replay Clarke’s goal more than Philogene’s over the last 24 hours, simply because of the fact that it confirmed the win, and the reaction to it - especially with Azon’s shot hitting the post - seemed an even greater explosion of noise/joy.

And to think, there were people on other threads earlier today arguing that throwing things onto the pitch is acceptable. The video clearly shows just how it can easily hit a player.

I get why people were sad to see those players leave, but the lack of patience in allowing their replacements to settle before deciding they weren't as good has been disappointing to see.

And this team will keep improving, we're still only 8 games in.

I spoke with an ex town academy lad the other day who's dad works within the club training set up, he says this town squad is possibly the best he's seen at PR since the 80s.

And I think we are starting to see the new squad develop a lovely camaraderie, too. Dara's 'Us and our People' pre-match team huddle and all of the celebrations during and post match all really great signs that Kieran and his staff are picking the right players and creating the right environment.

I'm sure you're right, but in fairness McKenna has dropped Greaves (Burgess' ill-advised replacement in some people's eyes).

And that currently looks like a good decision.
