That's a joy to watch.

I wonder how many others did the low-voiced, mock-impressed "Touch!" that we used to mock our own opponents with, in real time on Sunday when Darling 'controlled' it all the way to Matu?

I hadn't realised the intricacies of the movement and the precision of the head down from Dara for the first goal. I love to see this detail, but we shouldn't give future opponents too much info should we? Kudos to the set piece coach for that one.

And great piece of skill from Kipre too.

Jade's really was a thing of beauty. Think people have been a bit harsh on their keeper, the shot was so good not many keepers would have kept it out.

As much as I loved the second from Jaden , the third has something about it or it had on the day

Up until that third went in regardless of us arguably being the better side in the second half , there was always the threat of them scoring another spawny deflected last minute equaliser

As soon as that ball left JC’s foot that was it . Never in doubt !!

Great day altogether

Think McLean bricked himself, ended up facing the wrong way, should have put his head through the ball but turned away from Kipre and tried to back head it. Think I’d do the same faced with Kipre - short straw marking him at a corner.

A thing of beauty. They should hang a screen in the Tate Modern with that playing on repeat. I particularly like the ground level videos. I'm reminded about when this sort of filming was done to the extreme a few years ago when they filmed just Zidane from umpteen angles for the whole match backed with a soundtrack by Mogwai and made a movie out of it.

Can't believe there was absolutely no appeals for handball from the NUFC players on that first goal. Clear as day!

I was about to comment this, that's a really good header from O'Shea to head it back across goal and some great movement.

Vic, not sure that's a handball! I don't think he could do much more with his arms to get out of the way, given that they are tucked into his body. Unless I'm about to be wooshed...

You can analyse things too much.

But it's fun :)

Goal 1:
- loving the training ground rehearsed dummy bicycle kick from Jens
- didn't notice on the day that Dara ends up virtually in the crowd as the goal is going in

Goal 2:
- the little drag turn (not like Ru Paul!) that Jaden does looks like it's not in slow motion, when it's in slow motion. So quick. Many a year in a school playground doing that methinks!
- really enjoyed picking out all the sounds of the shot, the keeper's hand, the bar, and the net

Goal 3:
- it comes back to Clarke prettish smartish - a harder finish than it first appears I think

The 2nd and 3rd goals still took some scoring, but Jesus how sloppy were Norwich giving the ball away?

And for the less flash Harries, Matusiwa's perfect tiny passes and massive grin do all the talking. A million things to love, on the day. This video may get one or two views over the next eon before our next game! Fortress Portman Road!

If you check out the slomo replays, I'm pretty sure he twists right around it to deliberately head it at Szmodics' feet at pace for a snap volley (I remember doing something similar, but easier, when I used to play, [he bragged]). As you say the movement was great, but you could criticise their 22 for letting Dara get away.

The handball thing - does the T shirt zone guidance still apply?

Current laws/guidance says something like this I think :

if the ball makes contact with their hand/arm when it makes their body "unnaturally bigger"

I'd have to look back at the video (can't right now), but I seem to remember thinking that Kipre's upper arm (where it might have hit) was held tight to the body, and would therefore pass as fair on this basis.

Blatant hand ball with both arms pushing the ball forwards but we will take those all day long - fed up of crap decisions going against us and not getting some of the referees loving

I don't think I'd have the front to be playing football when my hand was making my body unnaturally bigger.

I have to say though that, after about two minutes of each goal, I was ready for the next one.

To think the early Town in 5 just had one additional camera point to the TV view.

Definitely would hve been disallowed with VAR, the ball goes back up off Kipre's forearms after he tries to head it, which make it easier to hit when it drops down - astounded the lino didn't see it!

That's great, thanks for posting. By my reckoning, we won the game about 60-0. And the reaction from the Norwich players to each goal got better and better!

I don't know how you can say it's clear as day, I've looked at every angle and I still can't be sure it definitely hits his arms rather than chest/shoulder. And the fact that not a single Norwich player appeals (and the lino looking right at it from a few feet away is unimpressed) I'm astonished that you and a couple of others think it's blatant.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

On the first, I hadn’t appreciated at the time how poorly Norwich defended it. Only one player half went up to challenge in the air, they weren’t blocking players off, nobody attacks the ball. They’re like statues while we play around them.

On the slow-mo video of Philogene’s goal, shot from the corner of Sir Alf Ramsey and the Cobbold Stands, you can clearly see a woman walking along the front of the West Stand holding two pies as Jaden’s taking the ball forward. She has her head down, trying not to step on people’s feet. I wonder if the pies survived the celebration when the ball hit the net.

I also love the third goal for this, but also like that even though his shot hit the post, Azon doesn't get down but just celebrates Clarke sticking it in the back of the net. Suggests an attitude of team first over individual is growing again amongst the new guys.
