| Team for QPR then on 11:04 - Oct 31 with 1649 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | I would start Jack Clarke. Philogene has struggled away from home and a physical game, on a tight pitch doesn't seem an environment he will thrive in. | |

Not a bad shout to be fair and highly likely I’d say actually Jaden on as a “finisher “ away from home

| Team for QPR then on 11:20 - Oct 31 with 1567 views | Clutch | I'd start Clarke and Philogene, and I'd have Cajuste back with Nunez in the 10, with Walle Egeli coming in to that role at some point. But won't happen, that's why I'm not a manager. | | | |
| Team for QPR then on 11:33 - Oct 31 with 1490 views | bartyg | I'd also start Clarke over Philogene. Only other change would be McAteer for Egeli- a bit more physical for the away game. | | | |
| Yeah probably…. on 11:35 - Oct 31 with 1471 views | Bloots | ….although (perhaps concerningly) up to 7 of them could be argued against! | |

I’d expect McAteer to start on the right & Taylor to keep his place. Who plays at number 10 is interesting though

I think you might be right. McAteer* might add solidity away from home. Got to be Nunez for me at 10. [Post edited 31 Oct 12:15]

| Team for QPR then on 12:01 - Oct 31 with 1289 views | Herbivore | The issue with starting Clarke and Philogene is twofold. Firstly, you have to play one of them in a role where they are far less effective so I'm not sure it's really worth it. Secondly, if both end up needing to be subbed because they've run their race, who is going to play on the left? We're better off rotating them in their favoured position and using one as a starter and the other as a finisher, imo. For tomorrow, I'd go with: Walton Furlong O'Shea Kipre Davis Matusiwa Cajuste Walle Egeli Akpom Clarke Hirst | |

Personally I'd start Nunez in the number 10, irrespective of Akpom's fitness. I think that might be one of those stumbled on options that actually works out well.

I agree about one has to play in a (potentially) less effective position, but players can play for 90 minutes you know. Just that’s not McKenna’s usual way to operate

They can but players also pick up knocks and we've shown over McKenna's tenure that letting attacking players go balls out for 60-70 minutes and bringing on quality replacements can gain you a significant amount of points over a season.

I think the more significant issue with starting Clarke is that it'll mean Davis being an inside forward again. Clarke hugs that touchline so Davis's run's have to be from the inside and he's less effective there. Davis and Philo are a better partnership on that left for me as Philo us happy to be inside more than Clarke.

He's finding his feet. He's demonstrably not hopeless. He's a bit like Thomas Asante at Cov. You get him in his groove and settled into a team and we will thrive.
