| " best side I've seen at home for years" 23:08 - Nov 8 with 4754 views | FrimleyBlue | Swansea in law ST holder comment received tonight. Said hes never seen a side put in so much mileage in a game. Felt at times town had 15 players on the pitch as no matter where Swansea passed the ball town had 2 players onto it within seconds. He said Swansea haven't been amazing but hes not seen a side make them look that bad for a long while | |

Frimley is just reporting a view. I wasn’t there and I’ve not seen the game back yet. Hopefully the Swansea ST holder is correct or even if he’s not I’ll be very interested in the views of the lads and lasses who were there. [Post edited 8 Nov 2025 23:43]

Our press was ridiculous at times. We stopped them getting any kind of foothold in thr game for long periods. [Post edited 9 Nov 2025 15:00]

TBF the home commentaters did say something similar in the first half, in that we seemed to have more players and were always closing down the ball and defending as a team really quickly

| " best side I've seen at home for years" on 07:25 - Nov 9 with 3227 views | Swansea_Blue | Burnley were better last year, they totally controlled the game. We didn’t have that level of control, but our work rate in midfield killed them. All our open play goals came from closing down and forcing turnovers. But, I’d broadly agree that’s as dominant an away performance I’ve seen down there for a while and I see a fair bit. We were superb at the key moments. Bizarrely though we didn’t create much, yet everything went in. Possibly had Walton not saved that header from a corner it may have been a different story, although we looked better throughout and it felt like we always had another gear. | |

Think this is why McKenna makes all the changes, keeps Everyone in the loop, then it’s a shoe in at 70 minutes of Fresh legs and substitutions of similar style and quality on the ball and allows the game to progress in the same manner with fresh legs. It’s frustrating to see it if we are chasing a game, but when the opposition are, it’s glorious football opens teams up , and pulls them apart. We just need to iron out Some of the sloppy balls and the odd minutes of Madness at the back, and we will Absolutely romp this league. Get the promotion flags and pyros back out boys and girls.
| " best side I've seen at home for years" on 08:41 - Nov 9 with 2728 views | mellowblue | I did not see it quite that way myself. First half apart from the odd 5 minutes we dominated possession with creating too many clearcut chances. Second half was a lot more even (until we romped away), once Swansea went away from 3 at the back; it gave them some traction in midfield. Ironic using the word traction, given the state of the pitch and the slipping and sliding going on. If Walton does not make his save and it is 2-2, the game could have gone either way. Swansea would have had the momentum for a proper push. We get the 4th and it was suddenly very, very comfortable. I thought Swansea looked neater than a lot of the teams we have played recently, but not much cutting edge. Nice goal, they scored. | | | |

| " best side I've seen at home for years" on 11:48 - Nov 9 with 1977 views | MrPotatoHead | Strewth. We did work very hard, I think that’s what Taylor gives us in the middle more than Cajuste. He was a machine yesterday, covered every blade and had quality on the ball when he needed it too. We know we get it from the full backs but having that energy in the middle really has been the difference. We can out play other sides but we need to out work them as well which we did. Still thought some of our build up play was loose but we blew them out of sight in the last 30 minutes, which has been a bit of a trend recently with the bench we’ve got. Should’ve been the same story against Watford if we could take our chances. We’re getting there, but of fine tuning under the bonnet to do I think but the performances have kicked on from 6 / 10 to 7.5 - 8. | | | |

In terms of possession, winning all our duals all over the pitch and completely snuffing them out any time they dared venture forward, I felt that is as dominant a first half as you ever want to see We created a lot of nearly chances but didn't force a huge amount of saves from their keeper with that all considered The second half became more of a basketball match which we seemed happy to have The Walton save is big and it would have been a very frustrating goal to concede from what was a cheap unnecesary free kick We don't want to be giving Wrexham similar situations to score

They're a bit of a throwback really, quick to get the ball forward and looking to whip a lot of balls into the box The cheapest way to be effective on a budget, not they're on that small a budget in fairness, having spent £7.5 million plus add ons for Broadhead They're quite an old side but have recruited some quality, they'll come and try and Charlton us and boy will it be annoying if they do
