Listening on Town TV audio, I could certainly only hear one set of supporters, & it wasn't us (& beore anyone starts, I'm physically unable to make the 450 mile round trip).

On a thoroughly weather-miserable day, the crowd was ok Ryorry. Wrexham made plenty of noise with their two songs as you expect the away people to do. But over 29,000 were there today in b awful weather so not the best, but I’ve known the atmosphere worse.

Wrexham fans were very quiet , only really come to life in final 10 mins as they could see a point was achievable.

Not having a go at you not able to make the trip... but why have a go at the supporters who were there? The support today was decent for most of the game.

Sorry, didn't know, weather was fine here with the snow & ice of past 3 days having melted & the temp having shot up from -2C at 8am to a positively balmy, dry +5 at 3pm! And I was only reporting what was actually coming across on the radio.

I know. It felt colder than it was. It rained most of the afternoon, bit of an breeze and positively tipped down driving home. But the stadium looked tidy and bright and the stands help of course.
But it was definitely a hat and gloves job for a sad oldie like me. Especially as I was a little later than intended and got stuck in those stupid security check queues getting in the ground.

I listened on the wireless the only time I heard the town fans was the traditional’come on you blues’at corners. I’m pretty sure I heard a boo at the end as well.

Jeez she was only reporting what she heard like me,and nobody is having a go at anyone at the game. If it had been a goal fest the atmosphere would have been ten times better, even Mick Mills sounded flatter than usual commentating on it.

The atmosphere was ok Benters. I’ve known it a lot worse. Obviously had we got an early goal or one before HT it would have been better, but it was what it was on a miserable day.
I only heard Mick Mills after the game. He was very much all about crediting Wrexham for executing what they wanted to do pretty much perfectly. And they did too. The key points for me from McKenna’s interview (see Phil’s post) were:
‘When we were in the final third, they were very, very deep and they defended with big centre-halves inside the frame of the goal, with their midfield line really, really deep, so it was really hard to get chances close to the goal.’
‘I don’t think individually or as a collective we’re too far away, to be honest. We didn’t give away anything in the game, that’s a good step’
That’s how I saw it.

I'm not really interested in what people who weren't at the game thought about the atmosphere, because if you weren't at the game how could you possibly know?

So in this modern time you don’t think listening on the radio or watching a game on the telly can pick up a good or poor atmosphere?

Don’t be silly Dolly.
It’s not an ideal guide. Watch back the highlights from a game you’ve been at and you’ll tell the difference enough. Crowd noise on Sky games has been pretty poor this season in general, for example.
Not that we would have been making much noise - you could see from the pictures vast swathes of the crowd were just sat there like statues. It looked chilly! We’ve been quiet on the road too unless we’ve been winning. We definitely seem to be waiting for the team to lift us and not the other way around (in the main - there are some very small pockets who try all the time).
