Seems to be living like a footballer rather than being a footballer these days.

A combination of injuries & this Love Island bird & I reckon he’s fallen out of love with it a bit.

He wasn't good enough when he was fit so he's not likely to be now.

He hasn’t left since we got promoted. I’ve heard he rents a room upstairs, grown a beard, plays for the pool team and now works behind the bar to pay for his rent.

Still paying the price for the SSN bum gaffe, so I'm told.

Im in regular contact with him and he believes he should be playing. I happen to agree. At this level when we are the dominant team, we miss his forward Thurst and energy. We are not dynamic enough.

Just waiting for Burns to be selectable. Then the dream pairing of Harry/Wes will return to the right wing and terrorise all opposition teams.

It might be because I haven’t seen him play for a while his ability has grown greater in my head but it does feel against the low block teams at home he would be a good option.

Would offer more than Furlong going fowards

The only Muff in Town.

I'm not in contact with him, but I believe he's better than Furlong (classic, he's not playing so he's better)

Maybe not defensively, but he's far better going forward and his love of the club gives an extra few % that is much needed imho.

Feels weird that there's another player who's probably better than both going forward and defending yet he's not getting any game time.

Really struggling to see the point of signing Young if it's just to have another good character around the place

Why do you think he should be 4th/5th choice?

He's never let us down and was always solid in my opinion.

I miss him getting the blame for the vast majority of goals we concede, due to him being in the position that he was told to be in.

Joking aside, I do like Harry. Be great to see him back and being a success.

Can't see it though sadly.

3rd choice. If that is true it probable does not even give him consideration in our weekly lottery of 5 or 6 changes per game.

He has the worst positioning sense of any full back I've seen play for us over the last 10-15 years.

furlong works well within the team.

with furlong, we average 2.1 points per game
without him it's 0.6

can't see any reason to drop him

Only if you don’t understand the actual role he was being asked to play. Not only was he required to be narrow, almost a right centre half when Leif bombed on, but he also got forward himself, overlapping beyond Burns. As a consequence, his 'positioning' was rarely that of an orthodox full back.
But, everyone has their own opinion.

Yep. As Joe said on Blue Monday, Wrexham offered no attacking threats down our right in Saturday so Furlong had no defensive duties. But his attacking play is very limited. Against teams where we will dominate we should be playing Harry Clarke or Ashley Young.

Edit. Seen this point has already been made.

I'd have had Greaves on for Wrexham - offers more attacking options than Kipre. With the lack of intent from Wrexham, Kipre's solidity at the back was unnecessary imo.
